Job Description Bilingual Spanish/English Licensed or License-Eligible Mental Health Professional Immigration/Forensic Evaluations | Trauma-Informed Care | Hybrid Schedule | Manhattan/Queens Psychological & Stress Management, P.C. (PSM) and Hispanic Family Mental Health Center are seeking a passionate, culturally competent, bilingual Spanish/English licensed or license-eligible mental health professional to join our expanding clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who is interested in trauma-informed care, immigration/forensic psychological evaluations, culturally responsive treatment, and working with diverse communities, particularly Latino immigrants and families navigating complex legal, emotional, and psychosocial stressors. This is a W-2 employee position with a flexible schedule and opportunities to work in Manhattan, Queens, and/or hybrid. Clinical supervision and training will be provided. PSM would sponsor qualified candidates eligible for a New York State Limited Permit. Responsibilities As a valued member of our clinical team, responsibilities may include: • Conducting comprehensive clinical intakes, psychosocial assessments, and mental health evaluations., • Gathering detailed information regarding clients’ personal history, trauma exposure, family dynamics, immigration history, mental health symptoms, medical concerns, social functioning, and cultural background., • Administering and interpreting commonly used psychological screening instruments, including the BAI, BDI-II, PCL-5, SDS, and other relevant assessment tools., • Providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults, depending on clinical experience and interest., • Conducting clinical interviews for immigration-related psychological evaluations, including but not limited to:, • VAWA self-petitions, • Asylum cases, • Cancellation of Removal, • Hardship Waivers, • U Visa evaluations, • T Visa evaluations, • Other trauma- and immigration-related matters, • Preparing clear, comprehensive, and clinically well-supported psychological evaluation reports., • Synthesizing clinical findings into diagnostic impressions, treatment recommendations, risk assessments, and forensic/clinical opinions., • Collaborating professionally with attorneys, paralegals, physicians, schools, and other professionals involved in the client’s care or legal process., • Maintaining timely, accurate, ethical, and confidential clinical documentation., • Participating in supervision, training, consultation, and ongoing professional development., • Remaining current with best practices in trauma treatment, immigrant mental health, culturally responsive care, and forensic/immigration-related clinical work. Qualifications Qualified candidates should have: • A master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health discipline from an accredited program, such as MSW, LMSW, LCSW, MHC, LMHC, Psy.D., Ph.D., or related field., • Current New York State licensure or eligibility for licensure/limited permit, such as:, • LMSW, • LCSW, • LMHC, • MHC-LP / Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor, • Licensed Psychologist, • Psychology Limited Permit, where applicable, • Fluency in both Spanish and English, required., • Strong clinical interviewing, writing, and documentation skills., • Interest in trauma, immigration evaluations, forensic mental health, and culturally responsive clinical care., • Experience working with Latino, immigrant, refugee, or trauma-affected populations, strongly preferred., • Prior experience conducting immigration-related psychological evaluations is highly desirable, but training will be provided to strong candidates., • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills., • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive clinical team.
