You will work directly with community members to connect them with affordable health insurance through Pennie, Pennsylvania's official health insurance marketplace, while building meaningful partnerships that strengthen health outcomes across our 10-county region.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PENNIE ENROLLMENT SPECIALISTPicture yourself as a trusted guide for community members navigating one of life's most important decisions: their healthcare coverage. Your day combines direct client service with strategic community building. In the morning, you might help a family find an affordable plan that covers their medications and preventive care. By afternoon, you could be hosting an enrollment event at a partner organization or training a community health worker on Pennie eligibility basics.Every enrollment you complete represents a family gaining protection from medical financial hardship. Your documentation and reporting demonstrate measurable impact-and your relationship-building across a 10-county region in Southwest Pennsylvania ensuring that no one navigates the healthcare system alone.WHAT YOU'LL DOGuide individuals and families through health insurance options available through Pennie, Medicaid, and CHIPConduct enrollment appointments in-person, by phone, and at community events throughout Southwest PennsylvaniaBuild and maintain partnerships with community organizations, social service agencies, and healthcare providers to expand enrollment reachHost and participate in outreach events, health fairs, and community education sessionsTrain community partners on eligibility requirements and the enrollment processMaintain accurate client records and produce timely documentation and reports demonstrating program impactTravel regularly within the 10-county service region to meet clients and partners where they areWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired QualificationsDegree in social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field-or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum 2 years of experience with health insurance enrollment, including Pennie, ACA marketplace platforms, Medicaid, and/or CHIPDemonstrated expertise in eligibility determination and consumer assistanceExceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiencesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage a regional caseload independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly across the service regionAdditional SkillsBilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred-additional compensation may applyBackground in case management, care navigation, or community health workExperience working with underserved or diverse populationsFamiliarity with FQHC or Title X-funded healthcare environmentsCalling All Veterans - Your Service Translates HereWe recognize the valuable skills military service members bring to civilian roles.
