Job DescriptionBusiness Operations Assistant Company: Sanford Surrounded by LPT Realty Location: Sanford, North Carolina Position: Full time, in person and field based Compensation: $30,000 annual salary, health insurance, and mileage reimbursement About the Role Sanford Surrounded by LPT Realty is looking for a dependable, high-energy Business Operations Assistant to support our real estate operations and work directly with the owner. This is a hands-on role that combines field work, administrative support, executive support, and special projects. Some days will include installing real estate signs and lockboxes, picking up checks, delivering documents, or coordinating with vendors. Other days may include research, scheduling, following up with team members, updating systems, preparing documents, or helping move a business project forward. This is a strong opportunity for someone who may not have extensive experience yet, but has initiative, good judgment, strong follow-through, and the ability to learn quickly. We care more about character, work ethic, learning ability, and ownership than a perfect resume. Responsibilities • Install, remove, and maintain real estate signs, signposts, directional signs, and lockboxes, • Pick up and deliver checks, documents, supplies, equipment, marketing materials, and other business items, • Drive throughout Sanford and the surrounding counties as needed, • Drive several hundred business miles during a typical week, • Coordinate appointments, deliveries, vendors, inspections, meetings, and local errands, • Help manage the owner’s task list, reminders, follow-up items, and action steps, • Turn conversations and ideas into organized tasks, deadlines, and next steps, • Follow up with team members, vendors, clients, and outside partners until assigned work is complete, • Attend selected meetings, take notes, document decisions, and track commitments, • Research products, services, vendors, properties, and business opportunities, • Gather quotes and information and present clear comparisons or recommendations, • Update Monday.com, Google Workspace, Follow Up Boss, spreadsheets, files, and contact records, • Prepare basic documents, checklists, reports, and meeting materials, • Help prepare for listings, closings, client events, team events, and company projects, • Support the owner with scheduling, organization, research, and special projects, • Handle confidential business and personal information with discretion, • Take ownership of other reasonable tasks as business priorities changeWhat We Are Looking For, • Takes initiative without needing to be constantly directed, • Learns new systems, technology, and processes quickly, • Follows through and finishes what they start, • Communicates progress, problems, and next steps before being asked, • Notices what needs to be done and takes action, • Tries to solve problems before escalating them, • Knows when to ask questions or request direction, • Can manage multiple assignments without dropping them, • Dependable, punctual, responsive, and trustworthy, • High energy and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, • Coachable, humble, and eager to improve, • Comfortable receiving direct feedback, • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, • Comfortable with a changing mix of office work, driving, outdoor work, errands, and project support, • Interested in learning how real estate and small businesses operate No prior real estate experience is required. We are willing to teach the right person. Driving and Physical Requirements This position requires regular local driving and hands-on field work. Applicants must: • Have a valid driver’s license, • Have a good driving record, • Have reliable personal transportation, • Maintain legally required automobile insurance, • Be comfortable using their personal vehicle for business travel, • Be comfortable driving several hundred business miles during a typical week, • Be able to safely lift, carry, load, and unload real estate signs, posts, lockboxes, supplies, and equipment, • Be able to bend, kneel, walk across uneven ground, and perform basic outdoor tasks, • Be comfortable working outside in normal North Carolina weather conditions, • Be able to safely install and remove real estate signs using the appropriate tools and equipment Mileage for approved business travel will be reimbursed.
