Patient Care -Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments -Diagnose and treat various medical conditions -Develop and implement personalized treatment plans -Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies and electrocardiograms. -Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment 2. Collaboration -Work closely with support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care -Collaborate with our specialists (Mental Health and Gastroenterology) as needed -Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to care planning 3. Quality improvement -Participate in quality improvement initiatives -Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols -Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices 4. Communication -Communicate with patients and their families -Maintain open communication with colleagues and staff Qualifications: -Must obtain Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. -Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine -Must be able to commute between our Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn offices Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.     There are immediate openings for licensed clinical psychologists at the CUIMC Faculty Practice Organization (FPO) in Manhattan. The Department of Psychiatry is seeking psychologists assigned to work in the CUIMC FPO. These are full-time, clinical positions in the Columbia Day Program. Primary responsibilities involve conducting group therapy utilizing empirically supported treatments, diagnostic/intake evaluations of adults, and individual treatment planning and progress monitoring with patients. Candidates should have previous experience providing outpatient treatment and working with a multi-disciplinary team. Experience and training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) preferred. Candidates with additional experience in evidence-supported treatment delivery for trauma and/or substance use are desired. Ideal applicants will have experience, familiarity and comfort working with high-risk patients, as well as young adults and college students. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across disciplines and function effectively as part of a multi disciplinary team. The CUIMC FPO sees a mix of private pay and managed care patients and has a particular focus on serving the Columbia medical center community, among others. We prioritize evidence-based interventions and have an array of specialized programs to best serve our patients. All positions currently allow for hybrid work, and for this position in-person work will take place on the main medical center campus in Washington Heights.
