Role: Structural Steel Project Manager \n Location: Albertson , NY \n Industry: Structural Steel & Miscellaneous Metals \n Type: Fulltime \n \n Job Description: \n \n Drive Complex Steel Projects from Shop to Site - Join our Iron Works as a Structural Steel Project Manager! \n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Review shop drawings and coordinate with detailers and field teams.\n, • Perform field measurements and prepare sketches.\n, • Track design changes for constructability and quality assurance.\n, • Support fabrication with timely shop and purchase orders.\n, • Submit RFIs, submittals, and quality control documents.\n, • Develop monthly AIA payment applications and change orders.\n, • Coordinate directly with engineers and architects.\n, • Manage steel erection planning, ironworker scheduling, and safety compliance.\n, • Oversee equipment logistics, street closures, and crane permits.\n, • Ensure QA/QC standards, inspection readiness, and punch list resolution.\n, • Conduct field measuring and layout verification.\n, • Track and negotiate change orders.\n\n Qualifications \n\n • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.\n, • 5+ years of experience in steel fabrication and erection.\n, • Proficient in interpreting contracts, specifications, and technical drawings.\n, • SST Certification (40hr Site Safety Training).\n, • Strong integrity, independence, and collaborative spirit.\n, • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.\n, • Local candidates preferred or willing to relocate to within 30 minutes of Albertson, NY.\n\n
