Electrical Service Construction Office Manager – Streamline Operations and Support Growth for B&M Electric \n \n Job Overview \n Company: B&M Electric \n Primary Location: Lawndale, CA \n Additional Location: Torrance, CA \n Employment Type: Full-Time \n Compensation: Starting at approximately $34.00 per hour, depending on experience \n Schedule: Monday–Friday; exact hours to be confirmed during the interview process \n Industry: Residential electrical home services \n \n The Opportunity \n B&M Electric is hiring an experienced Electrical Service Construction Office Manager to help lead the accounting, administrative, payroll, human-resources, and operational functions of a growing residential electrical service company. \n \n This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving systems, solving operational problems, and supporting both field technicians and company leadership. The role will work primarily from B&M Electric’s Lawndale office, with occasional responsibilities at the Torrance location. \n \n The ideal candidate has strong accounting or bookkeeping experience, understands service-business operations, and is capable of improving procedures rather than waiting to be directed through every task. Experience with ServiceTitan and a residential service contractor is strongly preferred. \n \n What You Will Do \n\n • Accounting and Financial Administration\n, • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.\n, • Review vendor invoices and supporting documentation.\n, • Organize receipts, bank documents, invoices, and transaction records.\n, • Assist with customer billing and collection follow-up.\n, • Support bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial record organization.\n, • Maintain accurate and confidential accounting documentation.\n, • Coordinate with company leadership and external accounting professionals as needed.\n, • Payroll and Human Resources\n, • Review technician hours, time records, and payroll documentation.\n, • Assist with weekly payroll processing.\n, • Support the calculation and documentation of technician performance bonuses.\n, • Maintain employee records and onboarding documentation.\n, • Assist with basic HR administration, employee communication, and policy documentation.\n, • Maintain confidentiality when handling payroll, employee, and financial information.\n, • Office and Operational Management\n, • Use ServiceTitan to support operational reporting, technician records, customer documentation, and workflow management.\n, • Help keep field technicians organized and accountable for documentation, hours, materials, and assigned tasks.\n, • Coordinate communication among leadership, office employees, field technicians, customers, and vendors.\n, • Assist with inventory tracking, supply ordering, and material organization.\n, • Receive deliveries and help maintain an organized office and storage environment.\n, • Assist with permit applications, inspection scheduling, and related city or municipal documentation.\n, • Coordinate company-vehicle errands, material pickups, or deliveries when needed.\n, • Assist with setup and organization of the new Lawndale office.\n, • Identify inefficient processes and recommend practical improvements.\n, • Create, document, and maintain standard operating procedures.\n, • Help build repeatable systems that support company growth.\n\n \n Required Qualifications \n\n • At least 3 years of office management, bookkeeping, accounting, or operations experience.\n, • Must have 1+ years experience with ServiceTitan software.\n, • Must have 1+ years experience specifically in the residential home service industry.\n, • Hands-on experience with accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities.\n, • Experience processing or supporting payroll.\n, • Ability to organize receipts, invoices, bank documents, and financial records.\n, • Must have strong, professional experience and knowledge using ServiceTitan.\n, • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general computer skills.\n, • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and responsibilities with limited supervision.\n, • Strong written and verbal communication skills.\n, • High attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • Ability to protect confidential employee, customer, and financial information.\n, • Ability to create and improve office systems and procedures.\n, • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle between locations when required.\n, • Ability to lift and move office supplies, files, deliveries, or equipment weighing up to approximately 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n \n Strongly Preferred Qualifications \n\n • Experience working for an electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other home-service contractor.\n, • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliation.\n, • 1+ year experience with Housecall Pro and Jobber softwares.\n, • Experience reviewing technician payroll or performance-based compensation.\n, • Experience coordinating permits and inspections.\n, • Experience creating standard operating procedures.\n, • Experience supporting field-service technicians and multiple office locations.\n, • Familiarity with inventory and vendor-management processes.\n\n \n What Success Looks Like \n\n • Payroll and accounting documentation are accurate and completed on time.\n, • Receipts, invoices, bank records, and billing documents are consistently organized.\n, • Technicians receive timely operational support and remain accountable for required documentation.\n, • Permits and inspections are scheduled and tracked without avoidable delays.\n, • Office procedures are documented and followed.\n, • Leadership receives reliable information and does not need to repeatedly follow up on routine administrative tasks.\n, • The new Lawndale office becomes organized, functional, and supported by repeatable systems.\n\n \n Compensation and Benefits \n\n • Starting
