Job Description 3rd Shift Maintenance Reliability Technician Location: Green Bay, WI Company: RPI, LLC | Premier Outdoor Living Shift: 3rd Shift Employment Type: Full-Time About RPI and Premier Outdoor Living RPI, LLC is part of Premier Outdoor Living (POL), an entrepreneurial manufacturer producing innovative products for the outdoor living industry. POL operates three unique businesses focused on spa cabinets, HDPE lumber, and outdoor furniture, with three manufacturing facilities across Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Our Green Bay facility is seeking a skilled and dependable 3rd Shift Maintenance Reliability Technician to help keep our equipment safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. The Opportunity As a 3rd Shift Maintenance Reliability Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operation. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment failures, complete repairs, and support continuous improvement across our facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can work independently, prioritize competing demands, and respond quickly when equipment issues threaten safety or production flow. What You'll Do Maintenance & Reliability • Perform preventive maintenance on production and support equipment across the facility., • Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems., • Diagnose issues with chains, belts, pulleys, augers, load cells, pumps, motors, air compressors, vacuum systems, air lines, solenoids, instrumentation, sensors, and related equipment., • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical systems., • Troubleshoot electrical systems using appropriate testing equipment., • Assist with the installation and startup of new equipment., • Assemble, repair, and maintain mechanical components, machines, and equipment., • Fabricate parts when necessary to maintain or improve equipment functionality., • Perform welding and other fabrication work using appropriate materials and techniques. Facilities & General Maintenance • Perform maintenance and repairs throughout buildings, facilities, and grounds., • Complete basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related maintenance tasks., • Safely and efficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools, including impact guns, drill presses, band saws, grinders, and other maintenance equipment., • Operate multiple types of lift trucks as needed, including narrow-aisle reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts. Safety & Compliance • Follow safe work practices and all applicable Federal, State, and Municipal requirements., • Comply with procedures related to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, Hazardous Materials, Confined Space, and other safety programs., • Maintain equipment in safe operating condition and support compliance with applicable regulatory requirements., • Identify potential safety and reliability issues and take appropriate action to protect yourself and others., • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Continuous Improvement & Team Support • Respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime and protect production flow., • Prioritize maintenance activities based on safety, reliability, and production needs., • Look for opportunities to improve equipment reliability, quality, safety, and productivity., • Communicate maintenance issues, completed work, and equipment conditions effectively to the team and management., • Maintain accurate and thorough maintenance records and data., • Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Technical Skills • Ability to work with both SAE and metric fasteners, sockets, drives, ratchets, taps, and dies., • Ability to read and interpret basic electrical and mechanical prints, blueprints, diagrams, and drawings., • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including chains, belts, pulleys, augers, load cells, pumps, and motors., • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, including compressors, vacuum systems, air lines, and solenoids., • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including wiring, fuses, plugs, instrumentation, HMI screens, extruder instrumentation, and related components., • Understanding of basic electrical circuits and the ability to use a multimeter to diagnose components such as heater bands, quartz heaters, thermocouples, and switches., • Ability to use appropriate testing equipment to troubleshoot electrical and control systems., • Welding and basic fabrication skills are highly valuable., • Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of hand and power tools., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, keyboarding, and maintenance-related software. Education & Experience • High school diploma or GED required., • Five years of related maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, specialized training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience., • Strong practical understanding of industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting., • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages., • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure., • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions and apply common sense when solving problems involving standardized processes. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on manufacturing position. Employees must be able to: • Stand for extended periods and frequently walk throughout the facility., • Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, manipulate, and operate tools and equipment., • Reach, including overhead, bend, stoop, squat, and maintain a full range of arm motion., • Frequently climb and work from ladders, platforms, and mobile platforms., • Work safely at elevated heights., • Operate manual and power tools with appropriate dexterity and coordination., • Safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds., • Maintain close visual attention to equipment, components, and work details., • Spend extended periods using computers, telephones, and other electronic equipment. Work Environment & Safety This position works in an industrial manufacturing environment where noise levels range from moderate to occasionally loud. Required PPE must be worn, including appropriate hearing protection while in the plant. The position regularly involves proximity to rotating machinery, grinders, welders, saws, cutters, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. Hazards may also arise during lifting, hoisting, moving, and installing equipment. Safety is a fundamental responsibility of this position.
