Details\n \n • Work in the CV Surgery ICU of a hospital environment\n, • 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week\n, • Day/Night Rotation (0700-1930 and 1900-0730) and Straight Nights (1900-0730) schedules available\n, • Required to work every third weekend\n, • Floating required as needed\n, • Uses Epic charting system\n, • Cardiac monitoring/telemetry equipment used with strip-reading required\n Requirements\n \n, • Active MN RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)\n, • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)\n, • 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience required\n, • CVS ICU experience preferred\n, • 6 months of required travel experience, with 1 year of recent travel experience preferred, and/or 3 total travel assignments\n, • Must pass an ECG exam during orientation to continue the assignment\n, • Experience with cardiac monitoring/telemetry and strip interpretation required\n, • Experience with VAD, Impella, ECMO, and balloon pumps preferred\n, • Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); additional experience requirements apply if program was not accredited or graduation was not recent\n Additional Information\n \n, • Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care\n, • Function within a professional nursing practice model, accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care\n, • Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts\n, • Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and resource availability\n, • Strong communication, mentoring, and teaching skills required\n, • COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility\n, • Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census\n, • Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment\n, • On-site work required with no teleworking option\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-727265.
