Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description The Quality Inspector performs visual and dimensional inspections on products and components throughout the production process to ensure they meet all required specifications, blueprints, and customer standards. This role operates precision measuring tools, interprets technical documentation, and accurately records inspection data in computer systems to support consistent product quality and continuous improvement. Responsibilities • Conduct thorough visual inspections of products and components as they move through the production process., • Perform dimensional and measurement tests using appropriate tools to verify that parts and assemblies meet required specifications., • Verify that all parts, assemblies, and finished products conform to blueprints, drawings, and customer standards., • Identify defects, nonconformities, or deviations from quality standards and promptly communicate findings to production teams., • Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and microscopes to confirm dimensions and tolerances., • Input, manage, and maintain inspection data using computer programs for reporting, tracking, and analysis., • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other documentation to ensure proper compliance with requirements., • Document inspection results clearly and accurately in reports, logs, and quality records for ongoing quality tracking., • Monitor and maintain established quality standards throughout the manufacturing process., • Collaborate closely with production and other teams to support workflow, address quality issues, and implement corrective actions., • Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly work environment., • Handle and move parts and materials, including lifting items up to 20 pounds, as needed during inspections. Essential Skills • Strong visual inspection skills with the ability to identify defects and deviations from standards., • Proficiency in quality inspection practices and procedures., • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and microscopes accurately., • Competence in operating computers and using software to input, manage, and analyze inspection data., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written specifications., • Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting inspection results and maintaining quality records., • Capability to lift and handle items up to 20 pounds safely., • Understanding of and adherence to safety procedures in a production or manufacturing setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High school diploma or vocational training in a relevant field., • Experience working with quality standards and customer specifications in a manufacturing environment., • Strong communication skills to provide clear feedback to production and other teams., • Ability to work cooperatively in a team-oriented environment., • Basic proficiency with computer programs used for reporting, tracking, and data analysis., • Organizational skills to manage inspection schedules, documentation, and follow-up actions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bohemia, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
