Job Description Job Title: General Laborer – 1st Shift Job Description This role focuses on performing quality inspections on door hardware components produced by machinery. You verify that parts meet specifications through visual checks and basic measurements, accurately count inspected pieces, and document results to support consistent, high-quality production. Responsibilities • Perform visual quality inspections on door hardware pieces punched out by machines to ensure they meet required standards., • Use basic measuring tools, including a tape measure, to verify dimensions and confirm parts meet specifications., • Accurately count inspected parts and record quantities in the appropriate logs or documentation., • Document inspection findings clearly and completely to support quality control and production tracking., • Identify defective or nonconforming parts and separate them from acceptable product., • Follow established production and inspection procedures to maintain consistent quality., • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient inspection and production activities., • Work safely around production equipment and follow all safety guidelines and instructions., • Sit or stand for extended periods while performing inspection and counting tasks as required by the production schedule. Essential Skills • Experience performing general labor or production work in a manufacturing or similar environment., • Ability to use a tape measure accurately for basic measurements., • Strong attention to detail for visual quality control and measurement verification., • Ability to conduct visual inspections to identify defects or irregularities in parts., • Capability to sit and stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks., • Basic counting and documentation skills to record quantities and inspection results accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience as a production worker or in an inspection role is helpful., • Comfort working with door hardware or small mechanical components., • Reliability and consistency in following established procedures and meeting production goals., • Ability to work both independently and alongside other production team members. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
