Through a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation, we strive to deliver fresh fashion that resonates with today's consumer. \n \n Position Overview \n We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Colorist to join our fast-paced sweater product development team. The Colorist will be responsible for managing and approving color across all stages of development, including lab dips, knit downs, yarns, trims, and production submissions. \n This role requires a strong eye for color, excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and overseas factories. The ideal candidate has experience working with overseas suppliers and understands the fast pace and attention to detail required in the sweater industry. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Review and approve all lab dips, knit downs, yarn submissions, trims, and color standards for sweater development.\n, • Ensure colors consistently match approved standards, Pantone references, or approved bulk standards.\n, • Communicate color comments and approvals clearly and promptly to overseas factories.\n, • Track all color submissions and approvals to ensure development stays on schedule.\n, • Work closely with the Design, Product Development, Production, and Technical teams to ensure color direction is accurate.\n, • Follow up with overseas factories on outstanding color submissions and revisions.\n, • Maintain organized color records, approvals, comments, and reference standards.\n, • Identify color issues early and work with factories to correct them before production.\n, • Review and approve colors for yarns, trims, knitted panels, garments, and production samples.\n, • Ensure factories understand and follow approved color standards throughout development and production.\n, • Manage multiple styles, colorways, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n, • Help establish and maintain consistent color approval procedures and standards.\n\n \n Qualifications \n\n • 3+ years of colorist experience, preferably within sweaters, knitwear, apparel, or textile product development.\n, • Strong experience working directly with overseas factories and suppliers.\n, • Excellent color perception and an exceptional eye for color.\n, • Strong understanding of yarn, knit, textile, and garment coloration preferred.\n, • Experience reviewing and approving lab dips and knit downs preferred.\n, • Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.\n, • Ability to manage multiple styles, submissions, and deadlines simultaneously.\n, • Strong communication and follow-up skills.\n, • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.\n, • Comfortable working with Design, Production, Product Development, and overseas factory teams.\n, • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.\n, • Strong computer and organizational skills.\n, • Experience with Pantone and other color standards preferred.\n\n \n Ideal Candidate \n The ideal candidate is highly organized, decisive, detail-oriented, and passionate about color. They should be comfortable managing a high volume of submissions, communicating directly with overseas factories, and making accurate color decisions quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality. \n \n Experience in a sweater or knitwear company is preferred.
