Job Overview Mental Health Specialists LLC is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our hybrid (in-person and telehealth) practice in Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, PA, as a W-2 employee. You will begin part-time, with the option to remain PT or transition to FT. This role is ideal for a licensed therapist who is passionate about specialized care and interested in building a niche clientele. We believe clients deserve access to therapists with unique expertise—whether in trauma, couples, neurodivergence, or other specialty areas. About Mental Health Specialists LLC Mental Health Specialists LLC is a hybrid group psychotherapy practice focused on making specialized mental health treatment easier to find and connecting clients with therapists whose training and expertise fit their needs. We also aim to expand access to specialized care in communities where services may be limited or unavailable. Founded in 2024 by Amy Gamble-Moore, LCSW, an experienced clinician and community mental health leader with more than 20 years of experience, Mental Health Specialists LLC provides in-person and telehealth therapy in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, with plans for regional expansion. We emphasize trauma-informed care, strong community partnerships, and collaborative professional growth. Our services include individual therapy, group therapy, workshops, and community-based programs, including Critical Incident Response (CIR). Clinicians also have opportunities to develop and lead specialized groups and other programs. Target: ~792 sessions/year across approximately 44 working weeks., • Full-Time: Maintain an average of 25 billable client hours/week, with approximately 30 session hours available for scheduling. Target: ~1,100 sessions/year across approximately 44 working weeks., • Provide in-person sessions at our Squirrel Hill office at least 1 day/week (minimum 7 client hours), along with telehealth services., • Maintain approximately 3 hours of evening and/or weekend availability., • Optional, develop and facilitate a group, class, or workshop once your caseload is established. Additional opportunities may include intensives, retreats, and online programming., • Complete documentation, including intakes, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, within 48 hours., • Collaborate with interdisciplinary providers as appropriate., • Respond to client inquiries within 24 business hours., • Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and case consultations., • Respond to crisis calls from individuals on your caseload., • Support the mission and reputation of Mental Health Specialists LLC through ethical practice, professionalism, and teamwork. Qualifications & Skills • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy, • Active, unrestricted PA license: LCSW, LICSW, LPC, or LMFT, • Residence within approximately 45 minutes of Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh, • 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferred, • Specialized training, certification, or interest in at least one treatment modality (e.g., EMDR, DBT, CBT, EFT, ACT, IFS), • Experience facilitating therapy groups, not required, but preferred, • Proficiency with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and Google Workspace, • Organized, self-motivated, accountable, and collaborative, • Willingness to participate in administrative, intake, and outreach activities when requested; these activities are compensated at the Admin Rate and may help bridge slower periods, • Ability to follow both simple and complex instructions and recognize when clarification is needed, • Required FBI, PA Child Abuse, and criminal background clearances, • Private or group practice experience preferred, • Interest in remaining in a W-2 employee role with opportunities for professional growth, • Ability to begin seeing clients within 30 days of hire Compensation & Benefits Our compensation model is designed to provide competitive pay while allowing flexibility in how employees use their benefits. We aim to minimize unnecessary overhead and invest our resources in the things that matter most to our clinicians and clients. • W-2 employment with flat hourly compensation based on billable services, • $60/hour individual therapy, • $95/hour group therapy, • $50/hour EAP sessions, • No-show compensation: 25% of the applicable hourly session rate, • $20/hour administrative compensation, • $20/hour for mandatory staff meetings, trainings, and onboarding, • Paid Sick Time, based on applicable Pittsburgh City requirements, • PTO accrual after 1 year, • Payroll taxes withheld; no self-employment tax, • Malpractice insurance, • Marketing and client referrals, • Intake coordination, • Assistance with WV licensure and applicable fee reimbursement, • Free CEUs for licensure requirements, • Clinical supervision: 1 hour paid monthly, with an additional optional hour, • Flexible benefits that can be selected based on individual needs Flexible Benefit Options Optional benefits may include: • Life Insurance, • Retirement Benefits, • Health Reimbursement Account (a monthly benefit that can be used toward health insurance premiums), • Professional Development, • Health & Wellness Benefits, including eligible wellness events, workshops, or services, • Additional benefits may be considered as the practice grows based on employee feedback Benefits generally begin after the 3-month introductory period.
