Summary: The Carpentry Associate is primarily a Furniture Repair Technician, responsible for refurbishment and repair of assembled furniture and upholstery, restoration, assorted carpentry and/or woodworking. He/she will also make professionally constructed wooden crates. Qualifications: • Professional carpentry, wood working, refinishing, restoration, color matching skills., • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in operating woodworking and material handling equipment., • Demonstrated ability (and experience with) operating a table saw, chop saw, tape measure, nail gun, and other common carpentry tools., • Experience with other areas of precise woodworking and restoration, • Basic English verbal and written communication skills., • Ability and experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment., • Must be a team player, flexible with changing schedules, and ability to work at least a 40-hour schedule., • Experience with upholstery repair, • Prior experience in the moving industry. * Salary: $25.00 - $40.00/h Why Roadway? As a member of the Pathway Home multi-disciplinary team the Peer Specialist position will work under the supervision of the Team Leader. The role will involve facilitating transition from one level of care to the community by addressing the preparatory needs of participants in the early stages of recovery, discharge planning, development of daily living skills, and coping mechanisms through team and individual work in the community. The team will follow individuals into the community using the Pathway Home model of care to ensure that they become both linked and engaged with identified community providers and that their support network is sufficient to meet their needs. The Peer Specialist engages participants in peer-based services to identify and overcome barriers to community integration, utilizing a peer relationship to foster connection, trust, understanding and validation with community providers and supports.
