Night Support Worker Salary: £12.87 £14.03 per hour (based on competency & qualifications) Plus: £25 night supplement per shift Contract: Permanent Full Time or Part Time (Full?time: 40 hours per week / Part time: 33 hour or 22 hour contracts available) Shift pattern: 8:45pm 8:15am, includes working every other weekend About the Role We are seeking experienced Night Support Workers to join a residential childrens home, supporting children and young people with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. This is a waking night role, where you will provide consistent, high?quality care throughout the night, ensuring safety, comfort and wellbeing at all times. You will: • Provide exceptional care for children and young adults, • Support bedtime routines, including washing and changing, • Encourage healthy sleep patterns where possible, • Carry out regular checks throughout the night and respond to any needs, • Ensure medical needs are met, including administering and recording medication, • Maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment, • Carry out light housekeeping tasks during quieter periods, • Participate in personal care routines and physical intervention when requiredThe heart of this role is building trust, communicating effectively and supporting young people to develop greater independence.
