HGV Class 2 Driver - Warrington, Cheshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, paid breaks, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business. This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver. Rates of Pay: • £17.13 per hour (standard 48 hours), • £25.70 per hour (overtime after 48 hours), • Minimum of 12 hours paid per shift, • All breaks fully paid Shift Pattern: As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will work: • Working five days out of seven (including some weekend working), • AM shifts: 01:00 - 04:00 start times, • PM shifts: 14:00 - 18:00 start times Benefits: Your benefits as an HGV Class 2 Driver are: • Ongoing work with a leading company in the industry, • Excellent hourly rates, • Minimum 12 hours paid per shift, • All breaks paid, • Weekly pay, • Comprehensive training programme, • Opportunity to work with an established and reputable business Day-to-Day Duties: Your duties as an HGV Class 2 Driver are: • Working rotating shift patterns, • Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently, • Completing 6-7 product deliveries to stores across the UK each day, • Ensuring all loads are maintained at the correct temperatures throughout the journey, • Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores, • Taking photographs to document successful deliveries, • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations, • Reporting any customer concerns promptly to management, • Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects where necessary Essential Skills: To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A minimum of six months' experience as a Class 2 Driver, • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence, • A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card, • No more than six penalty points for minor offences, • No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99, • Strong customer service and communication skills, • Good spoken and written English, • Excellent timekeeping and reliability Training: • First-day assessment, • Two weeks of training alongside an experienced permanent team member, • Industry-related training provided, • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process JBRP1_UKTJ
