Junior Waiter / Waitress Location: Holborn, Central London Employment: Full-time Pay: Very competitive, depending on experience Carmelina’s is looking for a Junior Waiter / Waitress who wants to learn properly, grow within hospitality and build strong foundations in service. This is a great opportunity for someone who may still be early in their career but has the right attitude, energy and desire to improve. You’ll work closely with our Waiters, Runners, Managers and Chefs, learning how a strong restaurant service really works from both the front and back of house. The Role • Support the waiters during service and gradually take on more responsibility., • Run food confidently and learn dishes, ingredients and table positions., • Help prepare the restaurant before service., • Set up and maintain runner stations and service areas., • Work closely with the kitchen and chefs to make sure food reaches the table correctly and efficiently., • Keep sections clean, organised and ready throughout service., • Learn how to communicate with guests naturally and professionally., • Develop knowledge of food, wine, drinks and genuine hospitality., • Support the wider team wherever needed. Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is: • Hungry to learn and progress., • Positive, reliable and hardworking., • Comfortable in a fast-paced restaurant., • Happy to start with the basics and build strong foundations., • A real team player., • Interested in developing into a strong Waiter / Waitress over time., • Eligible to work in the UK. Previous restaurant experience is helpful, but attitude, personality and willingness to learn are just as important.
