Laser Punch Operator New opportunity at this busy sheet metal fabrication company for someone to operate this Amada Laser Punch combination machine. You will produce high-quality components to drawing specifications, and contribute to a safe, efficient workshop environment. This role can be offered on a day, late or night shift and the company has flexibility to adjust start and finish times to suit. Key responsibilities • Set up, program and operate Amada Laser Punch equipment for production runs, • Interpret engineering drawings, nesting plans and work orders accurately, • Load tooling, fixtures and materials; adjust machine parameters for material type and thickness, • Monitor production for quality; perform in-process inspections and final checks, • Carry out basic preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of machines, • Report faults and work with maintenance to resolve issues quickly to minimise downtime, • Maintain accurate production records, timesheets and material usage logs, • Follow health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Required skills and experience • Proven experience operating Amada Laser Punch machines, • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and tooling, • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and CNC programmes, • Competent in basic machine setup, tool changes and minor troubleshooting, • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts, • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team, • Physically able to handle materials and stand for extended periods This is a permanent role with a starting salary dependant on experience and shift.
