The Role\n This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of our warehouse and trade counter. Key Responsibilities\n\n • Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse and trade counter.\n, • Plan and prioritise daily workloads.\n, • Prepare, allocate and monitor customer orders for dispatch.\n, • Assist with picking, packing and dispatching orders when required.\n, • Receive, check and organise incoming deliveries.\n, • Ensure stock is stored correctly and the warehouse remains organised, clean and safe.\n, • Identify areas where additional support is required and proactively assist the team.\n, • Supervise warehouse staff and help maintain productivity and accuracy.\n, • Serve customers at our trade counter, offering friendly advice and helping them source the products they need.\n, • Liaise with office staff to ensure orders, stock and customer enquiries are managed efficiently.\n, • Monitor warehouse performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.\n, • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.\nAbout You\n We're looking for someone who is motivated, practical and enjoys taking responsibility. \n You will ideally have: \n\n • Previous experience in a supervisory, warehouse or operations management role.\n, • Strong organisational and leadership skills.\n, • Excellent communication and customer service skills.\n, • Good computer skills and confidence using business software.\n, • The ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.\n, • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.\n, • A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed.\n, • A full UK driving licence.\nDesirable Skills\n\n, • Forklift Truck Licence (preferred but not essential).\n, • Experience within a builders' merchant, industrial supplier, warehouse or distribution environment.\n, • Stock control or inventory management experience.\nWorking Hours\n This is a full-time permanent position. Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential as occasional evening or weekend working may be required to meet the needs of the business. We are recruiting an electrically-qualified Crane Service Engineer to join our team based in the northeast area of Scotand (Aberdeen/Dundee area). Trouble- shooting equipment breakdowns. Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues. Complete appropriate documentation through your mobile device. The role of a Crane Service Engineer will involve the maintenance, repair and upgrade of our customers' lifting equipment, primarily overhead gantry cranes. The work we offer is varied and two days are rarely the same. What we are looking for in you: We ask that you are apprentice-trained (or equivalent) and conversant with electrical engineering disciplines. Mechanical knowledge Previous experience working with overhead cranes and hoists is preferred, but maintaining, repairing, and servicing equipment in an industrial environment is essential. Based on 39 hours p/w Mon-Fri. Weekend overtime working will earn double time. Great communication skills Be personable as there is regular customer contact. Health & Safety awareness You are able to work at height. Willingness to work extra hours this attracts paid overtime. Hold a current driving licence. Willingness to work on the on-call rota with an enhanced premium.
