    £15–£17 hourly
    Full-time
    London

We are hiring for a Waking night and day shift support worker / carer to join the lovely team around a 19 year young man who has epilepsy and PMLD, is non verbal and has additional health needs. He lives at home with his family and dog. We will need someone to take on both daytime hours as well as cover regular 2 waking night shifts per week. This is full time position (37.5 hours or more per week) for someone who has a strong interest in working with disabled and autistic people. You would ideally need some experience but the correct applicant we are also happy to train. Please let us know in your own words why you are interested or what experience you have. We need to cover the following waking nights: Sunday and Monday or Thursday and Friday. We would expect the new support worker also to take on occasional extra shifts when colleagues are away. The night supports are strictly waking nights. This is quite an active position - you would need to be really fit and strong and ideally not be too petite either as you would be working with a still growing teenager with a movement disorder. We would prefer someone who can work with a UTR number on a self-employed basis. But if you needed a PAYE because of Visa requirements we can connect you to a care agency who will employ the correct candidate for us. This is not a second job possibility (we would like to find someone who takes on this position as their only job). Training is mostly 2 months of shadowing. Probation is a minimum of 6 months. After probation the rate increases to £17 with a UTR number (PAYE is £15 through the agency). Starting Date: for training Asap. Availability needed also for bank holidays (paid at double rate). Importantly we need to find someone who can also support during some of the Christmas period and Easter. Ideally you live in North London or can easily commute. You would often work together with other team members to engage the young person in every day activities and to take him out into the community. But you would also need to often take on sole charge after training. About the young person He is a very friendly and active autistic young man / teenager. He is non verbal. He can walk short distances but only with a lot of support, otherwise he is in a wheelchair. He likes to go to the park, shopping, cafe and sometimes some planned activities all with a lot of support. He likes the swimming pool and special needs bike rides. His communication is mainly through pictures of reference and is taught with ABA principles. We will train you in behaviour therapy and would expect you to follow our training. There are regular team meetings and you would attend those meetings. He sometimes is also tired and unwell after a seizure or other illness and will then just need care and nurturing and patience. He also sometimes has hospital stays which requires a lot of patience. He needs a lot of physical support. He lives with his family and also a dog. About you You would need to be able to appreciate a person who has profound autism and treat him with dignity and kindness. You would be someone who has interest in special needs, psychology and perhaps nursing. You would perhaps have studied a related field or are planning to study a related field. This position is very different from working in a care home. You would be assisting him with everyday skills and activities as well as feeding, bathing and toileting. If you have experience with intermittent catheterisation, Peresteen as well as PEG feeding then that is an advantage but we can easily also train those skills too. (Please research all terms you are unsure about before you apply). When working a waking overnight shift you will need to make sure that he is safe and alert parents in case of a seizure. Before and after a waking night you need to be able to rest. During the day you need to engage hime both at home and in the community. This position also involves keeping his environment generally tidy and clean and help with his laundry. You should be responsible, cheerful, honest and very reliable, physically strong and healthy as he needs a lot of support. You will be trained by members of the team and the education consultant and be taught the principles of ABA - a behaviour therapy. At Franco Manca, great pizza starts with great people. For over 15 years we've been making slow-risen sourdough pizza the way it should be: simple ingredients, proper craft and restaurants that feel part of their neighbourhood. We're not a People team sitting far away from the action. We're close to our restaurants, our managers and our teams, and this role is right at the heart of that. Why Franco Manca? We're proud of where we've come from and excited about where we're going. This is an opportunity to join a business with real heritage that's investing in its people, its restaurants and its future. You'll have the chance to influence how we support our teams, work closely with senior leaders and make a genuine impact across the business. You'll also have space to keep growing yourself, with opportunities to get involved in people projects, leadership development, coaching and wider business initiatives as we continue to evolve. We're looking for a People Partner to work alongside our Operations Managers, helping our restaurant teams thrive. You'll build trusted relationships, coach leaders, support managers through the moments that matter and help create an environment where people can do their best work. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety and influence. One day you could be supporting a manager through a complex people matter, the next you'll be using insight to spot trends, shaping practical people plans or helping us develop future leaders. If you enjoy working closely with people, balancing commercial thinking with empathy and making a real difference across a multi-site business, we'd love to hear from you. You'll love this role if · You like being close to the business and out with managers, not hidden behind a desk. · You enjoy coaching leaders, solving problems practically and seeing the difference your work makes. · You want exposure to senior leaders, people strategy and projects that shape how our teams grow. We're looking for someone who • Has HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor experience in hospitality, retail or another fast-paced customer facing multi-site business. · Has strong employee relations knowledge, including confidence managing complex cases and a solid understanding of UK employment law. · Is CIPD qualified or working towards qualification; however, practical, commercial HR experience and strong judgement are just as important. • Builds trust quickly and enjoys coaching and supporting managers., • Brings a practical, solutions-focused approach. · Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in getting the important things right, especially when handling sensitive people matters. • Understands that every conversation matters., • Loves working with people as much as processes., • Wants to help create workplaces where everyone feels welcome and supported. Our values in this role · Welcome Everybody: You create a safe, inclusive and respectful environment where managers and teams feel listened to, supported and treated fairly. · Love Your Food: You care about the details that make Franco Manca special and help managers build teams who are proud of the food, service and experience they deliver. · Keep It Moving: You work with pace, clarity and common sense, helping managers resolve people matters quickly, fairly and practically. · Put On a Great Show: You understand that great people experiences lead to great restaurant experiences, and you help managers create teams who deliver warm, genuine hospitality every day. What you’ll be doing • Registering and cleaning raw scan data (Autodesk ReCap, Leica Cyclone or similar) ready for modelling, • Converting point clouds of residential and small commercial buildings into accurate as-built Revit models, typically to LOD 200–300, • Building and editing Revit families to capture the character and detail of period and domestic properties (bays, dormers, mouldings, chimneys, etc.), • Producing clean 2D outputs from the model — plans, elevations and sections — that our architect can work straight from, • Working to survey tolerances so models are dimensionally reliable, • Maintaining consistent standards and dependable turnaround across multiple jobs, • Liaising with the architect and wider team to ensure models capture what is required Software and technical skills Essential • Autodesk Revit — strong, day-to-day proficiency, including creating and editing families, • Confident working from point cloud data and tracing it accurately into Revit geometry, • Autodesk ReCap (or Leica Cyclone / equivalent) for registering and preparing scan data, • Producing 2D drawings and sheets (plans, elevations, sections) from a Revit model, • Solid understanding of Level of Detail (LOD 200–300) and working to survey accuracy / tolerances, • Good BIM/CAD file hygiene — sensible naming, worksets, and use of templates Desirable • AutoCAD for DWG import/export and 2D tidy-up, • SketchUp, • Any experience producing presentation visuals — e.g. Revit’s rendering, Enscape, Twinmotion or Lumion — is a bonus, though the core of this role is accurate as-built modelling rather than design visualisation, • Any survey or laser-scanning experience (not essential — you will mostly work from existing point clouds) What we’re looking for • At least 6 months’ hands-on experience in point-cloud-to-Revit work, • Fast and accurate, with the ability to produce clean as-built models efficiently, • Confident registering and processing raw scan data independently, • Methodical, with a strong eye for detail and organised working practices, • Experience with residential/domestic buildings is a real plus, • Communicative, reliable, and easy to work with, • Eligible to work in the UK Details • Location: on-site at our office in Stoke Newington, London (N16). This is an in-office role so you can work closely with the team. Occasional remote working is available when needed., • Hours: 30–40 hours per week, permanent, • Salary: £30,000–£36,000 per year, depending on experience Our recruitment process Our process is designed to be transparent, straightforward and practical: 1. Share your CV and a few examples of point-cloud-to-Revit work (or a portfolio link)., 2. CV review — we will review your CV and experience, and get in touch if it looks like a good fit., 3. Short introductory call — approximately 20 minutes to discuss the role and get to know each other., 4. Practical task — if we are both happy after the call, we will send a sample point cloud similar to those you would work on in the role. Convert it to Revit as accurately as possible, with particular attention to the exterior, and screen-record the process (Loom, OBS or equivalent). Return the model and recording via Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer or any equivalent file-sharing tool. We review applications as they come in, so early applicants are encouraged. About the practical task The task mirrors the real work and is an opportunity to demonstrate your workflow, accuracy and speed. We are looking for the candidate who produces the most accurate model in the least time, with the fewest mistakes. The screen recording allows us to see your process, not just the finished result.v
