JRS Associates Ltd has partnered with a long-established precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected subcontract engineering company supplying precision components to the Nuclear, Defence, Oil & Gas, Fluid and Power Generation sectors. Working within a modern CNC turning department, you'll programme, set and operate a range of medium and large CNC lathes, manufacturing high-value one-off and small batch precision components from a variety of exotic materials. The Successful CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter – Package • £18.00 – £19.25 per hour, • OTE £50,000–£60,000 with overtime, • 39-hour working week, • Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm & Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm, • Overtime paid at 1.5x, • Company Bonus Scheme, • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, • Company pension, • Training & development opportunities, • Corporate workwear, • Flexible working, • Permanent position with long-term job security The Successful CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter – Role • Programme, set and operate CNC Turning Centres with Fanuc controls, • Create CNC programs from engineering drawings, • Select the most efficient machining methods, tooling and workholding, • Machine one-off and small batch precision components, • Produce components from castings, forgings, billets and bar stock, • Machine a wide range of exotic materials including Duplex, Super Duplex, Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy, • Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection, • Work to tight tolerances and high-quality standards, • Support continuous improvement within the machining department The Successful CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter – Requirements • Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC Lathes, • Confident using Fanuc controls, • Able to create CNC programs from engineering drawings, • Experience machining one-off and small batch components, • Previous experience machining exotic materials, • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, • Strong understanding of precision engineering and tight tolerances, • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or relevant machining experience, • Good communication and organisational skills If you're an experienced CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter looking for a long-term opportunity with excellent earning potential and a varied workload, we'd love to hear from you
