CNC Operator Location: Bedfordshire Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Overtime: Available at 1.5x hourly rate About the Role A well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer and multi-trade fit-out specialist is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join its manufacturing team in Flitwick. The company delivers high-quality bespoke joinery for commercial, prime residential and leisure projects, working from its own design and manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities • Operate Homag CNC machinery, including 3-axis and 5-axis routers and beam saws., • Run CNC programmes and ensure machined components meet drawings and specifications., • Work closely with the production office to ensure efficient and accurate production., • Identify machining issues and report problems to management., • Carry out daily, weekly and monthly machine checks., • Complete routine maintenance and safety checks., • Ensure machining tolerances and quality standards are maintained., • Work collaboratively with the wider production and joinery teams. Requirements • Previous experience operating CNC machinery, ideally within joinery or woodworking., • Experience with 3-axis/5-axis CNC routers and/or beam saws would be advantageous., • Good understanding of wood machining, joinery machining or joinery construction., • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and production information., • Good problem-solving and attention to detail., • Reliable, organised and able to work to deadlines., • Comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop environment., • Good communication and teamwork skills., • Microsoft Office experience is desirable but not essential.

As CNC Miller / Setter / Operator, you will be working: Monday - Thursday: 2pm to 10pm, Friday 1pm to 8pm. Knowledge of either Heidenhein, Hurco or Mazatrol controls. Good understanding of Engineering drawings and proficient in carrying out in- process dimensional and visual checks using the appropriate measuring equipment. Experience in managing a wide range of metals and plastics. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work efficiently to deadlines. Ability to mind multiple machines if required.
