Deliver value. \n \n JOB TITLE: IT ANALYST - SERVICE DELIVERY \n \n This job is a 9-month FTC position. \n \n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: \n \n\n • Provide first and second line support for IT in the respective project offices\n, • Provide first and second line support for IT in the respective project offices. This includes laptops/desktops, printers, AV and meeting room equipment, supporting MS Office and business applications and delivering images and upgrades. While the Desktop support engineer will primarily support Windows with a broad understanding of other IT technologies such as network and server infrastructure is required to in order troubleshoot complex problems and undertake routine maintenance activities supported by 3rd line.\n, • Work with businesses to understand and interpret their needs. Proactively identify areas of opportunity and offer advice/training to ensure maximum exploitation of approved IT technologies.\n, • Provide support for software and engineering applications including installation, licensing, troubleshooting support etc. This will require regular communication with application support experts in Sharjah /India.\n, • Work with the central Infrastructure, network, desktop and technical computing support teams in globally to ensure compliance with global support processes and technical guidelines (e.g. hardware specification and procurement, backup procedures, virus control, PC build, software installation and licensing, security administration etc). Maintain regular contact with the central global IT team.\n, • Deliver monitoring of servers, network, backup infra and report to central /vendor (for RMA) team for any alerts /failures etc.\n, • Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of the IT infrastructure, including PC, Printer, Network, Server, accessories inventory, third party contractual documentation (maintenance contracts, support contacts) etc.\n, • Support the Administration and maintenance of various productivity enhancement tools such as SharePoint and O365 and champion the fullest possible use of this technology.\n, • Administration of the various communication technologies in use, including maintaining use of wireless LAN, mobile devices and follow-me printing.\n, • Maintain professional working relationships with key third party suppliers.\n, • Display commercial awareness and ensure procedures and standards are adhered to when handling requests such as New Hardware, Peripherals and Procurement.\n, • Must display a strong customer focus and willingness to take ownership of problems.\n, • Must be self-motivated, able to act independently with minimum supervision, while remaining a strong team player in terms of adherence to common standards and process guidelines.\n\n \n ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: \n \n\n • Ability to communicate effectively with business customers and IT colleagues up to senior level.\n, • Broad knowledge of office IT infrastructure/communications, including server and desktop hardware and software, and local/wide area networking technologies.\n, • Experience of having supported the full range of IT technologies in a similar sized organization.\n, • Experience of working with a ticket system, escalating and providing information for multiple IT teams and managing issues through to resolution.\n, • Basic level of knowledge (installation, license management, troubleshooting) supporting specialist technical and engineering applications.\n, • Preferably educated to degree level in an appropriate subject.\n, • Microsoft accreditation in the key technologies deployed within Petrofac (e.g. desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office).\n, • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar capacity.\n, • Technical Skill – Demonstrable experience and expertise in the key technical areas (server/desktop infrastructure, LAN/WAN).\n, • Analytical Thinking – Able to identify and solve technical problems.\n, • Team Worker – Collaborates openly and willingly across teams and departments, in particular to ensure agreed global IT standards are maintained and adhered to.\n, • Communication – Able to communicate complex technical issues clearly and persuasively to peers and customers. Willing to continually engage customers when required. Open and honest communications with the Regional IT Manager.\n, • Initiative – Self motivation. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to take ownership of problems and manage through to a resolution.\n, • Language – Ability to communicate effectively in English.\n\n
