We are actively seeking aQuality Inspector to join our Offsite team inBanbridge! | KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | Carry out quality inspections of mechanical pipework rigs, skids and modular assemblies throughout fabrication and final assembly stages. Verify installations against drawings, specifications, quality plans and client requirements. Inspect pipework, supports, valves, equipment and workmanship to ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements. Record inspection results, raise non-conformance reports where required, and support corrective actions. Work closely with fabrication, assembly and project teams to maintain quality standards and continuous improvement. | QUALIFICATIONS | Essential Recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent technical qualification. Desirable CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspector qualification or equivalent. Recognised Health & Safety training (e.g. IOSH, First Aid). | EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE | Essential Minimum of 5 years hands-on mechanical experience either as time served apprenticeship or a site-based role. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, and specifications. Knowledge of pressure testing, flushing, cleanliness and mechanical completion processes. Working knowledge of mechanical systems and installations. Desirable Awareness of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement principles. Experience within offsite modular construction, manufacturing or assembly environments. A basic understanding of electrical containment systems, cable routing and wiring installations would be advantageous to support multidisciplinary inspections. | ABILITIES & SKILLS | Essential Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify defects. Ability to work independently and make informed quality decisions. Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage inspection records and documentation accurately. Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise across production, QA, and management teams. Good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office for recording, reporting, and tracking inspection data.
