The Opportunity: \n \n We are recruiting for an experienced and driven General Manager to lead The Landor – a large, high-volume fun pub in the heart of Clapham. \n This is a standout opportunity to take full ownership of a busy, well-established site with strong wet-led trade, live sport, private hire, and a loyal local following. We’re looking for a hands-on operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver both commercial performance and exceptional guest experience. \n About the Role \n As General Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance of the business, including: \n \n\n • Driving sales, profit, and operational excellence\n, • Leading, developing and inspiring a large front-of-house team\n, • Managing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, disciplinaries and staff welfare\n, • Ensuring full compliance with employment law and company procedures\n, • Delivering high standards across service, atmosphere, and compliance\n, • Managing labour, stock, and GP control\n, • A hands-on leader who is visible on the floor and leads the team through busy services\n, • Maximising revenue through events, sport and peak trading periods\n\n \n This is a role for someone who is as comfortable on the floor during a busy service as they are reviewing the weekly P&L and planning the week ahead. \n \n About You \n We’re looking for a confident and energetic leader who: \n\n • Has proven experience as a General Manager in a high-volume pub/bar\n, • Has strong experience managing HR processes and team performance\n, • Is commercially astute with solid financial understanding\n, • Leads from the front and is excellent with both customers and staff\n, • Has experience managing busy, high-volume trading environments\n, • Is confident handling disciplinary processes and difficult conversations\n, • Is passionate about hospitality and creating a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere\n, • Can build, train and retain a high-performing team\n\n \n Salary & Benefits \n\n • Up to £45,000 base salary (depending on experience)\n, • Performance-related bonus \n, • Real autonomy to run the business\n, • Opportunity to grow within an independent, ambitious operation\n, • Staff perks and incentives\n, • Real input into business decisions and new site acquisitions\n\n \n Why Join The Landor? \n \n\n • High-profile, high-capacity venue (~400 capacity)\n, • Established reputation with strong local following\n, • Strong mix of sport, events, and community trade\n, • Independence – ability to make real impact and decisions\n\n Apply \n If you are an experienced General Manager ready to take on a high-energy, rewarding site, apply now with your CV. \n
