The Purpose and Scope: We are seeking an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our dedicated culinary team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day preparation and delivery of a high-quality breakfast service, ensuring all dishes are produced and presented to the highest standards. Working closely with the wider kitchen team, you will help deliver a smooth, efficient, and consistent breakfast operation, while maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming breakfast experience for our guests, from continental offerings to cooked-to-order dishes and special dietary requirements. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily preparation and service of breakfast, ensuring all dishes are produced to a consistently high standard. Prepare and cook a wide range of breakfast items, including hot breakfast dishes, eggs, pastries, breads, cereals, fresh fruit, and continental offerings. Ensure all food is presented attractively and replenished efficiently throughout the breakfast service. Work closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure a smooth and well-organised breakfast operation. Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control. Ensure all food preparation and service complies with food hygiene, health and safety, and HACCP standards. Monitor food levels throughout service, communicating with the team to ensure buffet and la carte requirements are met without unnecessary waste. Assist with stock control, including checking deliveries, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly. Minimise food waste through effective preparation, portion control, and responsible use of ingredients. Cater confidently for guests with allergies, intolerances, and specific dietary requirements, ensuring appropriate procedures are followed at all times. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment throughout preparation and service. Support junior members of the kitchen team, providing guidance and sharing knowledge to maintain consistent standards. Work flexibly as part of the wider kitchen team, assisting with other sections and hotel requirements when necessary.
