Associate/Senior Associate - Clinical Negligence - MULTIPLE ROLES\n Location: Cardiff The Opportunity\n Multiple opportunities are available to join an established and highly regarded Clinical Negligence team within a leading UK law firm. \n This is a priority recruitment campaign for the business, and successful candidates can expect a fast and streamlined interview process. The first stage will be held virtually, followed by a second-stage interview in person. \n The team represents claimants and their families following poor medical treatment and handles a broad range of clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims. The Role\n The role will primarily involve working on new and potential instructions, as well as managing an existing caseload. Responsibilities will include: \n\n • Managing a caseload of clinical negligence matters with minimal supervision, while benefiting from strong team support.\n, • Handling a wide range of clinical negligence cases, including complex matters.\n, • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of the CPR and law relating to clinical negligence.\n, • Providing clear, sensitive and pragmatic advice to clients.\n, • Drafting witness statements, pleadings and other legal documentation.\n, • Reviewing medical reports and providing appropriate advice to clients.\n, • Developing and maintaining an understanding of relevant medical issues.\n, • Instructing and working closely with Counsel.\n, • Dealing with complex conferences and hearings.\n, • Working collaboratively with other solicitors to develop strong client relationships and knowledge across the team.\n, • Maintaining high professional standards and excellent client care.\n, • Keeping up to date with clinical negligence complaints procedures relating to GPs and the NHS in England and Wales.\n, • Assisting with the supervision and development of other fee earners where required.\n, • Contributing to business development activities and wider team initiatives.\nAbout You\n We are looking for ambitious, self-motivated solicitors with strong clinical negligence experience and the ability to manage a caseload effectively. \n You will have: \n\n • Strong organisational and time management skills.\n, • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\n, • Excellent client care and communication skills.\n, • A proactive and forward-thinking approach.\n, • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.\n, • Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence.\n, • A genuine interest in developing your career within a specialist clinical negligence practice.\nSalary\n Salary is open to discussion and will be determined based on the successful candidate's level of experience, technical expertise and overall suitability for the role.
