STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - Cheshire \n \n ELB Recruit is representing a niche, well-established Structural Engineering consultancy based in Cheshire, who are looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their growing team. \n \n This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer with 2+ years' consultancy experience to develop their career within a specialist, client-focused practice delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across Cheshire and the wider North West. \n \n The successful candidate will join a close-knit team, working alongside experienced engineers on technically varied projects spanning domestic, luxury residential, commercial, industrial and renewable energy developments, from initial concept through to construction. \n \n Why Join? \n Our client specialises in providing practical, high-quality structural engineering solutions across a broad range of sectors. Their project portfolio includes bespoke domestic properties, high-end luxury homes, commercial and industrial buildings, as well as specialist renewable energy projects. \n Working within a niche consultancy environment, you'll have the opportunity to gain genuine project exposure, work closely with senior engineers and develop your technical and commercial understanding across a varied workload. \n \n Domestic & Luxury Residential \n Work on a range of residential projects, from domestic extensions and alterations through to substantial bespoke and luxury homes. \n Projects involve working with architects, homeowners, developers and contractors to develop practical structural solutions that complement both the design intent and construction requirements. \n \n Commercial & Industrial \n Gain experience across commercial and industrial schemes, including new-build developments, refurbishments, extensions and specialist structures. \n You'll be exposed to a variety of structural forms and construction methods, with an emphasis on efficient, buildable and cost-effective engineering solutions. \n \n Renewables & Wind Turbine Support \n Develop experience within the growing renewable energy sector, supporting structural engineering projects associated with renewable infrastructure and wind turbine installations. \n This provides an opportunity to work on technically interesting and specialist structures while gaining exposure to a sector experiencing continued growth. \n \n The Role \n This position offers the opportunity to work across a genuinely varied project portfolio while developing your technical expertise within a specialist structural engineering environment. \n As a Structural Engineer, you will contribute to the delivery of structural engineering solutions across a range of projects and work closely with senior engineers throughout the design and construction process. \n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Assist in the preparation of structural designs from concept through to detailed design.\n, • Produce structural calculations, technical reports, specifications and supporting documentation.\n, • Design structures in steel, concrete, masonry and timber in accordance with current standards and codes.\n, • Work across domestic, residential, commercial, industrial and renewable energy projects.\n, • Coordinate with architects, contractors, clients and other project stakeholders.\n, • Develop practical and commercially viable structural solutions with consideration for buildability.\n, • Support project delivery while maintaining quality, programme and commercial objectives.\n, • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.\n, • Liaise with clients and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.\n, • Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections as required.\n, • Ensure designs comply with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, including CDM Regulations.\n, • Take increasing responsibility for projects as your experience develops.\n, • Progress towards professional qualifications and Chartership.\n\n \n Requirements \n\n • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.\n, • Approximately 2+ years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy.\n, • Working towards Chartered status with IStructE or ICE.\n, • Experience designing building structures across a range of project types.\n, • Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and UK Building Regulations.\n, • Experience using structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, Robot Structural Analysis, ETABS or similar.\n, • Understanding of construction methodologies and buildability considerations.\n, • Experience working within BIM environments;
