This is a substantive appointment. The appointee will have a lead role in consolidatingthe developments that have occurred within this service recently helping the service continue to develop in order to meet the ‘Core 24’ standardsdefined by the Department of Health. this is a rewarding and exciting post within a highly supportive environment and you will be working with a dynamic and responsive team the out of hours on-call frequency is low (1 in 30) with full second tier cover and 1 day off afterwards. we offer ample opportunities for our consultants professional development and opportunities for additional work for additional PA's (negotiation required) you will be welcomed and supported in developing your skills and contributions to the borough, the wider organisation and beyond these include clinical, liaison, educational, managerial and service evaluation roles. Clinical work will include assessment and interventions with patients in the acute trust and involve working with an expanding multidisciplinary liaison mental health team. the team will promote the development of skills in this area within the acute trust and pathway development. Section 12 and AC approval are a necessity. applicants must be on the GMC's specialist register or eligible for inclusion or be within six months of an anticipated award of a certificate of completion of training (CCT) in general Adult Psychiatry or dual CCT a/a at the time of interview for the post. you will have relevant professional qualifications in line with "essential" elements of the person specification and a CV demonstrating a wide range of "essential and Desirable" skills in terms of qualifications, clinical skills, knowledge and experience as well as academic skills and life long learning all detailed in the attached job description. • MbCHb or MBBS, • Fully Registered with GMC licesnse to practice, • On GMC Specialist register, • AC approval or able to achieve within 3 months, • Section 12 approval, • MRCPsych or equivalent, • Additional Qualifications, • Holds and will use valid UK driving licence OR provides evidence of proposed alternative, • Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA, • Excellence in working extensively in multi-disciplinary teams at ST4-6 or consultant level., • Experience in Liaison Sponsorship Information - We are an approved sponsoring organisation.
