Take on a long-term contract role with weekly pay, a van provided during working hours and consistent work as an Electrician, carrying out electrical testing, inspections and minor repairs across tenanted social housing properties in the Atherstone area. You’ll be joining an established housing maintenance team, completing EICRs within occupied properties and providing a professional service to residents. This is a long-term opportunity offering approximately 37–38 hours each week. I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as an Electrician, Electrical Tester or Testing & Inspection Engineer within social housing or similar domestic environments. As an Electrician, you will be: Completing approximately two EICRs per day in tenanted properties Completing electrical certificates and associated paperwork accurately Carrying out minor repairs, including defective switches and sockets Working with domestic smoke alarm systems, including Aico products Providing excellent customer service while working in residents’ homes Reporting to the Atherstone-area depot for an 8:00am start each day Reporting directly to the manager on a daily basis I’d love to speak to an Electrician who has: City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent inspection and testing competency Relevant electrical installation qualifications Strong EICR and electrical testing experience Previous experience working within tenanted social housing Confidence completing electrical certification without supervision Knowledge of Aico smoke alarm systems A reliable and punctual approach to work Strong communication and customer service skills The Electrician role is offering the following benefits: Around £32 per hour Approximately 37–38 hours per week Weekly pay Long-term, consistent contract work Van provided for use during the working day Monday to Friday working pattern Location & travel This role is based from a depot in the Atherstone area, with work carried out across occupied social housing properties locally. You’ll need to be at the depot ready for an 8:00am start each day. The van is returned at approximately 3:50pm Monday to Thursday and 3:30pm on Fridays.
