R&D Electronics Engineer \n Location: Skelmersdale – accessible from Ormskirk, Wigan, Southport, Liverpool, St Helens, Chorley, Preston, and surrounding areas \n Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year (depending on experience) + 5% company performance bonus \n We are working with an established engineering business to recruit an Electronics Design Engineer to join their Research & Development team. \n This is a great opportunity to play a key role in designing and developing new products, improving existing designs, and driving continuous innovation across a respected technology manufacturer. \n \n The Role \n As a R&D Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for: \n\n • Designing and developing new electronic products from concept through to production\n, • Supporting continuous improvement and innovation within existing products\n, • Managing projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards\n, • Ensuring designs comply with EMC and safety requirements\n, • Working with other departments to support smooth product launches and ongoing technical support\n, • Keeping up to date with new technologies and industry standards\n, • Supporting patent applications and compliance with quality systems (ISO9001)\n\n \n About You \n To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: \n\n • A degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics\n, • 3–5 years’ experience in an electronics design role\n, • Strong analogue design skills and experience in an electronics manufacturing environment\n, • Knowledge of electronic circuit simulation and hardware design principles\n, • Understanding of EMC compliance and electrical measurement applications\n, • A full UK driving licence\n\n Desirable: \n\n • Further qualification in a relevant discipline\n, • Experience with MRPI or MRPII systems\n, • Familiarity with ISO9001 quality auditing or similar standards\n\n \n Why Apply? \n This role offers the chance to: \n\n • Work on innovative, market-leading products\n, • Join a collaborative and technically driven R&D team\n, • Have real input into product development and design direction\n, • Enjoy long-term career stability and development opportunities\n\n \n If you are an R&D Electronics Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a supportive and forward-thinking business, we would love to hear from you. \n Apply today or get in touch for a confidential discussion. \n
