Development ManagerOutskirts of Crawley Salary & benefits: £52,000 - £56,000 DOE + Company Car / Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Bank HolidaysLloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a large organisation seeking an Development Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects across a national estate.You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously across greenfield, brownfield, refurbishment, including Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Development Manager Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage construction projects from inception through to completion and defects stage\n, • Oversee design, specification, and procurement of major works projects\n, • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, and health & safety legislation\n, • Act as Contract Administrator (JCT), including site visits and progress monitoring\n, • Prepare cost estimates and capital expenditure reports for senior stakeholders\n, • Lead project meetings and contribute to design development\n, • Support planning applications and building regulations approvals\n, • Maintain project documentation and standard specifications\n, • Review drawings from concept through to as-built using AutoCAD\n, • Monitor project progress using project management systems\n, • Provide technical advice on site development and potential new opportunities\n, • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across a varied estate portfolio\n\n Development Manager Essential Skills & Experience: \n\n • Minimum 2 years' experience in construction project management\n, • Experience administering JCT contracts\n, • Good knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM, and health & safety legislation\n, • CSCS card holder; SMSTS desirable (training can be provided)\n, • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays\n, • Experience working across greenfield, brownfield, or environmentally sensitive sites\n, • Proficient in AutoCAD\n, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects\n, • Excellent communication and report writing skills\n, • Confident working with internal teams and external consultants\n, • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and Google Workspace)\n\n Desirable: \n\n • Degree or HND in a relevant discipline\n, • Membership of CIOB\n\n Extra Information: \n\n • Refer a friend and earn up to £500 (see website for details)\n, • Due to high application volumes, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
