About the roleThe Bishop's Quarter is a premium hospitality and property business in Bishop Auckland, operated by TBQ Management Ltd. We're hiring two experienced, detail-oriented housekeepers to help us keep our holiday lets, apartments, communal areas and commercial premises immaculate and guest-ready.This is not an entry-level cleaning job. We're looking for people who have worked in hospitality or professional housekeeping, who take genuine pride in their work and hold themselves to exceptionally high standards. If you notice the details others miss and take satisfaction in a space presented flawlessly, we'd like to hear from you.We're building a small, trusted team, and there's real scope to grow your hours and take ownership as we expand.What you'll be doingBased at our Tenters Street premises and working across our properties in Bishop Auckland, you'll keep every space spotless and guest-ready. Your work will include:Cleaning, sanitising and turning around our holiday lets between guests, to a premium finishStripping and remaking beds, and ironing and steaming bed linen and towels on-site so everything is crisp and impressiveTaking fresh linen to properties and returning used linen to our central point for launderingResetting each property to match our room guides and presentation standards, so every space is faultlessRestocking consumables and setting out the welcome touches that make a stay feel specialKeeping our offices and communal areas clean and presentableGeneral housekeeping across the wider portfolio, which occasionally includes a private residenceCarrying out periodic deep cleans and occasional one-off cleaning projectsCompleting maintenance and functionality checks, and reporting any issues promptlyWatering outdoor pots and planters during the summer monthsAbout youProven experience in hospitality or professional housekeepingGenuinely high standards and a keen eye for presentation and detailHonest, dependable, punctual and discreet, with respect for privacy and confidentialityConfident knowledge of appropriate cleaning products and equipment, and safe, careful use around quality furnishings and surfacesPhysically fit and comfortable with the active, hands-on nature of the roleAble to work independently, manage your time well and use your initiativeFlexible around changeover days, which can include some weekendsAble to provide contactable references from previous employersA full driving licence and your own transport are essential, as you'll move linen and supplies between our properties across Bishop Auckland.What we offerPermanent, employed (PAYE) role with a growing local businessGenuine scope to increase your hours as we expand over the coming yearOn successful completion of a six-month probationary period, we plan to introduce additional benefits including dental cover and basic health insuranceA small, respectful team where your work is valued and your standards are central to what we doTPBN1_UKTJ
