The Role: We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Bar Manager to oversee all day-to-day operations of our venue. You will have full ownership of shift management, stock control, staff development, and maintaining our high standards of guest experience. This is a brilliant opportunity for an established Bar Manager looking for a fresh challenge in a great coastal town. Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Leading busy bar shifts, ensuring smooth service and an outstanding customer experience. Team Leadership: Hiring, training, scheduling rotas, and motivating a small, dedicated front-of-house team. Stock & Cellar Management: Managing ordering, weekly stocktaking, line cleaning, and optimising GP margins. Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food/hygiene standards. Financial Control: Handling daily cashing up, secure till reconciliation, and reporting performance to the business owner. Cocktail Development: Regularly updating cocktail menus to keep things fresh and exciting for staff and guests alike. Events Planning: Assisting business owner in the planning of events. This may include musical, culinary and community focused events. What We Are Looking For: Experience: Minimum 2 years experience of working in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Credentials: Legal right to work in the UK. Current Personal License Holder. DPS experience desired but not essential. Skills: Exceptional communication, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of cocktail development, how spirits are made and beer cellar upkeep. Strong knowledge on Tequila & Mezcal, desirable but not essential. Availability: Flexible and fully committed to a 42-hour weekly rota including weekends, late nights and bank holidays.
