Territory Sales Representative, UK \n Reporting To: Area Manager \n Location: United Kingdom (Territory Based) \n Employment Type: Permanent – Full-Time \n Purpose of the Role \n The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships within their assigned territory, promoting the company's range of machinery and solutions, and achieving agreed sales targets. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, providing commercial support to customers, and ensuring accurate sales administration through the Company's CRM system. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Promote and sell the Company's machinery, products and services within the assigned territory.\n, • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and securing new business opportunities.\n, • Generate sales leads through prospecting, networking, customer visits and market research.\n, • Prepare and present quotations and proposals, negotiating commercial terms to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.\n, • Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order placement and customer handover.\n, • Ensure all customer interactions, opportunities and sales activities are accurately recorded and maintained within the Company's CRM system.\n, • Process customer orders in accordance with Company procedures and support the successful delivery of projects.\n, • Work collaboratively with internal departments, including Technical, Service, Customer Support and Finance, to provide an excellent customer experience.\n, • Attend customer meetings, trade exhibitions, networking events and Company meetings as required.\n, • Keep up to date with industry developments, competitor activity and the Company's product portfolio through ongoing training and development.\n, • Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the Commercial team.\n\n Key Competencies \n\n • Previous experience in a field-based sales or business development role.\n, • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.\n, • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.\n, • Excellent organisational and time management skills.\n, • Experience using CRM systems.\n, • Commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach.\n, • Full UK driving licence.\n, • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.\n\n Desirable \n\n • Experience within the machinery, manufacturing or engineering sector.\n, • Experience presenting technical products or solutions to customers.\n\n Personal Attributes \n\n • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.\n, • Professional and confident communicator.\n, • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.\n, • Proactive and resilient with a positive attitude.\n, • Able to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a wider team.\n, • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.\n, • Adaptable and committed to continuous learning.\n\n The role works closely with: \n\n • Commercial Team\n, • Sales Admin Team\n, • Technical Support & Applications Team\n, • Customer Care Team\n, • Finance Team\n, • Marketing Team\n\n External: \n\n • Existing and prospective customers\n, • Suppliers and business partners\n, • Industry associations and networking groups\n, • Exhibition and trade event organisers\n\n Performance Measures \n Performance will be measured against agreed objectives, including but not limited to: \n\n • Achievement of sales revenue and gross margin targets.\n, • New business opportunities generated and converted.\n, • Growth and retention of existing customer accounts.\n, • Accuracy and timely maintenance of customer information within the CRM system.\n, • Quotation conversion rate and sales pipeline management.\n, • Customer satisfaction and relationship management.\n, • Compliance with Company sales processes and procedures.\n, • Completion of required training and professional development activities.\n, • Contribution to the overall success and objectives of the Commercial team.\n\n \n \n
