Temporary Night Shift Staff – Petrol Station Location: Esso Dulwich, London SE22 Position:Temporary Night Shift Team Member Hours: Night shifts – approximately 9pm–6am We are looking for reliable and responsible temporary night-shift staff to support our busy petrol station and convenience store in Dulwich. We currently need additional cover for September and potentially October, while this could become a permanent opportunity. Main responsibilities Serving customers at the till Handling cash and card payments Keeping the shop clean and organised Restocking shelves and fridges Monitoring the forecourt and shop during the night Following all Challenge 25 and company procedures Completing basic night-shift checks and handover Reporting any incidents or issues to management What we are looking for Reliable and punctual Comfortable working independently at night Good customer service skills Able to follow procedures and security guidelines Previous petrol station, convenience store or retail experience is preferred but not essential Must be available for night shifts This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for temporary work in September, with the possibility of further shifts depending on availability and performance. Job Summary We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our afro cosmetics and hair store. In this role, you will provide excellent customer service, assist customers in finding the right hair and beauty products, maintain an organised and welcoming store, and support the day-to-day running of the shop. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in afro hair and beauty products, enjoy working with people, and be confident in a busy retail environment. 37.5hrs Responsibilities • Welcome customers warmly and provide knowledgeable, helpful advice on hair, beauty, and cosmetic products., • Assist customers in selecting suitable wigs, extensions, braiding hair, haircare products, cosmetics, and accessories., • Process sales and payments accurately using the till/card machine., • Maintain a clean, tidy, and attractive shop floor and ensure products are well presented., • Replenish shelves and displays and assist with receiving, organising, and storing new stock., • Monitor stock levels and report low-stock or popular items to management., • Answer customer enquiries in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner., • Build positive relationships with customers and encourage repeat business., • Follow store procedures relating to cash handling, customer service, stock control, and security., • Support the wider team with general shop duties and other tasks when required. Skills & Experience • Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience is desirable., • Knowledge or experience of afro hair, wigs, extensions, braiding hair, cosmetics, or beauty products is highly desirable., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Friendly, approachable, and confident when speaking with customers., • Good product knowledge and the ability to learn about new products quickly., • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills., • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a small team., • Comfortable working in a busy retail environment and able to multitask., • Basic computer and till skills., • Multilingual or bilingual abilities are an advantage when serving a diverse customer base.
