This is an exciting opportunity to be part of France’s highest profile manufacturing plants as Envision AESC is building a new battery manufacturing plant in Douai, Hauts-de-France to support its business growth in Europe. We are an ambitious organization looking for an equally driven and strategic Senior Purchasing Specialist to join the France Purchasing function. This role is critical in supporting business development and industrial ramp-up in a high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities: • Sourcing strategy: Drive and in charge of EU&UK sourcing strategy for the assigned categories and in line with global strategy., • Supply base and Market Intelligence: Build up local supply base and work with internal cross functional team to do comprehensive assessment according to AESC’s supplier management process and continuously keep it competitive and updated., • Commercial negotiation: Responsible for supplier negotiation strategy development and implementation., • Purchase to pay: Take lead to implementing category sourcing strategy and work with internal shareholders to make sure on-time delivery, quality up to requirements and ESG compliance., • Industrialization management: Manage EU&UK supplier industrialization to make sure quality and timely deliveries against milestone schedule., • Regulations Interpretation: Interpret well EU&UK relevant policies and regulations like Trade of Compliance Agreement and EU Battery Regulations, be able to structure sourcing strategy fully accommodating the regulations requirements., • Supplier and Contract management: Play ownership role in supplier and contract management and entirely engage with internal business shareholders in supplier relationship planning and implementation., • Business procedure management and optimization: Optimize global business processes up to AESC Europe Gigafactory realities and relevant regulations and guide daily business management by the procedures. Background and Skills Required: • At least 3~5 years of experience in global or regional category management at battery manufacturing industry, knowledgeable in battery base metals from mining to Precursors and Cathode active materials and Recycling from scraps to black mass., • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing or related field, Master's is a plus., • Strong awareness of Ownership and Proactiveness., • Capable of influencing internal and external cross functional stakeholders., • Language: Professional fluency in English is mandatory, speaking good Mandarin and French is a plus
