Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician – 3rd ShiftJob Description The Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift supports a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment by performing complex electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, and test-related maintenance activities. This role constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, tests, documents, and maintains equipment, components, devices, and systems across manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, and engineering areas, using considerable technical judgment and adherence to safety and GMP standards. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of production and facility machines to ensure optimal performance and uptime., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, test, and facilities systems, components, and equipment., • Change and replace engines, sensors, valves, bearings, and other critical machine components as needed., • Construct, inspect, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems in support of manufacturing and engineering operations., • Use an ERP system to accurately document work orders, maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage., • Ensure tools and test equipment remain properly calibrated and repaired in accordance with standard operating procedures., • Apply non-standard and advanced technician practices in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, optical, and test disciplines, using sound judgment to resolve complex issues., • Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety protocols consistently to protect personnel and equipment., • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while working in GMP and cleanroom areas., • Allocate approximately 75% of time to hands-on maintenance tasks (preventive and corrective) and 25% of time to documentation and recordkeeping., • Read, interpret, and work from complex technical documentation, manuals, schematics, and procedures related to equipment and systems., • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.Essential Skills, • Proven experience as a maintenance technician performing equipment maintenance in a manufacturing or similar technical environment., • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems., • Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical systems, including work on 480-volt machinery., • Experience performing preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment., • Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment at a basic level (PLC troubleshooting)., • Demonstrated capability in equipment maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems., • Ability to read and understand complex technical documentation, including equipment manuals, schematics, and technical procedures., • In-depth ability to use PCs and associated software for documentation, including ERP or maintenance management systems., • Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand English to follow procedures and document work accurately., • Commitment to following lockout/tagout procedures and all applicable safety standards., • Ability to work effectively on 3rd shift in a manufacturing maintenance role.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience working in a GMP or cleanroom environment., • Familiarity with optical and test equipment in a manufacturing or engineering setting., • Comfort working with climate-controlled, highly regulated production processes., • Strong attention to detail when documenting maintenance activities and equipment status., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating with cross-functional teams., • Strong organizational skills to balance hands-on maintenance tasks with documentation requirements.Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a GMP, cleanroom, and climate-controlled manufacturing environment that emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and consistency. The company provides all required personal protective equipment (PPE), which must be worn at all times in designated areas. Work involves regular interaction with production machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical equipment operating at 480 volts, and computer-based ERP and documentation systems. The position is on 3rd shift, supporting ongoing manufacturing operations in a structured, process-driven setting with clearly defined safety and operating procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of MIAMI LAKES, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.60 - $33.60/hr.
