The Aircraft Mechanic II – Hydraulics performs KC-135 aircraft maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and documentation in support of organizational/intermediate/depot-level maintenance requirements at Fairchild AFB, WA with potential TDY support to other KC-135 locations as directed. The position specializes in aircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear, and related mechanical systems. • Perform KC-135 hydraulic, pneumatic, flight control, landing gear, brake, and related aircraft systems maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and documentation., • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, replace, service, bleed, rig, and operationally check hydraulic and pneudraulic components and systems., • Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, pre-flight, thru-flight, post-flight, and inspection-related tasks as assigned., • Interpret and apply technical orders, maintenance manuals, drawings, schematics, work instructions, and other approved technical data., • Use aircraft maintenance tools, test equipment, pressure servicing equipment, torque wrenches, measuring devices, and other approved equipment as required., • Document maintenance actions in approved aircraft forms, records, logs, and Government maintenance systems., • Support aircraft launch, recovery, servicing, and general flightline maintenance tasks as required., • Comply with Tool Control, FOD prevention, safety, quality, security, and local operating requirements., • Provide technical guidance or on-the-job training to less experienced mechanics as directed., • Support TDY maintenance operations at other KC-135 locations as required. Waste Management is seeking Diesel Mechanics to inspect, maintain, and repair diesel-powered garbage trucks and heavy equipment used for waste collection operations. Diesel Mechanics are responsible for diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other truck components, and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and DOT inspection standards. Mechanics use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and shop equipment to complete repairs and maintenance. This position typically pays $28 to $40 per hour, with opportunities for overtime pay, shift differential pay for evening or overnight shifts, tool allowances, and performance or safety bonuses depending on experience and location. Diesel Mechanics are responsible for performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire repairs, and hydraulic system maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems, completing repair work orders, maintaining maintenance records, and ensuring fleet vehicles are safe and operational. Mechanics must follow company safety procedures, maintenance schedules, and DOT compliance requirements.
