Job Description ABOUT STEWIE THE DUCK SWIM SCHOOL In 1989, Kim and Stew Leonard, Jr. lost their 21-month-old son, Stewie, in a drowning accident. Since then, they have dedicated their lives to preventing this tragedy from striking other families. This includes founding the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation, which has provided millions of dollars in funding for swim lesson scholarships for children in need and writing children’s books on water safety. In 2025, they will open the second Stewie the Duck Swim School in Clifton, New Jersey, next to Stew Leonard’s farm fresh food store. Stewie the Duck Swim School’s mission is to save a life one swim lesson at a time. All proceeds from the school will be used to fund swimming lessons for underserved children. ROLE SUMMARY: The Aquatics Director position at Stewie the Duck Swim School will oversee management of the team, the facility, safety and customer service as they relate to the aquatics program. This role will work closely with the General Manager to help shape the swim school and to run a smooth, fun and safe operation. This is an exciting position as it will help create the school’s infrastructure, including curriculum development, hiring, training, scheduling, developing culture, and ensuring an exceptional swim experience. Job Description Hilton Garden Inn-Wayne, 15 Nevins Road, Wayne, NJ 07470 We are currently looking for a Room Attendant to join our Team! You will find our Hilton Garden Inn with 125 guest rooms and suites, just off Hamburg Turnpike. We are 25 miles from Manhattan so many guests come and stay for a quiet place while visiting New York City. Ice Vault Arena is a short walk away, and shopping and dining is within five-minutes. We have a bus stop a half-mile away. Our hotel has the Garden Grille and Bar, that serves breakfast and dinner to our guests. The Hilton Garden Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates. A Room Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our guest rooms and suites. Role: • Clean rooms/suites as assigned by supervisor ensuring quality of cleanliness and customer service. This includes cleaning floors, vacuuming, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms., • Reporting discrepancies and maintenance problems to supervisor., • Providing excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests., • Working typical shifts that include weekends and holidays when required., • Full Time - requirements to be available to work weekends and holidays. Job DescriptionDescription: PURPOSE: A Room Attendant is primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways and public areas in the hotel servicing guest rooms in accordance with hotel policy. The room attendant is responsible for stocking carts with room supplies, replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies while following company standards and safety/security procedures. In some instances, this role would also be responsible for conducting ‘deep cleaning’ activities within the guest room in conjunction with preventative maintenance tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner., • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with brand standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel., • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)., • Always comply with brand standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations., • Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift., • Complete all pre-cleaning duties including but not limited to guest supplies cleaning supplies and linen for housekeeping cart set-up., • Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms., • Perform other tasks/jobs as assigned by the supervisor or manager., • May be required to disassemble furniture or items in the guest room to conduct deep cleaning., • Deep cleaning tasks may include but are not limited to changing the AC filter cleaning the AC coils. Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred., • This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form., • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly., • Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations. Job Settings and Physical Demands: To perform the job successfully, the candidate must be able to stand and walk 100% of their workday. Lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs. may be necessary at times and bending and stooping are required. Job is performed indoors in a well ventilated area.
