    SCOPE OF ROLE: The Case Manager provides and coordinates client services. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Conduct intake process with new clients within 24 hours of admission; includes but is not limited to explanation of resident rights and responsibilities, and grievance procedures • Conduct psychosocial, vocational/educational, and housing assessments and documentation of same • Provide accurate, complete, and timely documentation of the provision of supportive social services and client progression/regression toward the goals of securing permanent affordable housing • Prepare housing applications and assist clients with the housing application/interview process., • Monitor and assess client progression/regression in behavior and/or appearance, • Facilitate group and individual counseling, workshops, psych education, and recreational activities, • Conduct room/dorm visits/inspections to assess client personal hygiene, room cleanliness, and overall, ADL skills • Provide comprehensive case management services to an assigned caseload, • Develop initial service plans and conduct service plan reviews as needed for an assigned caseload, • Provide referrals for in-house and community-based medical, mental health, and supportive social services to assigned caseload as appropriate • Ensure that clients attend meals and maintain appropriate nutritional intake, • Provide crisis intervention and address all emergency situations as appropriate, • Assist in building evacuation during fire drills and building emergencies, • Monitor client medication compliance and collaborate with nursing staff monitor compliance, • Refer clients to appropriate community resources as needed, • Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification, • Maintain up to date, accurate, complete, and timely client chart documentation in compliance with DHS, OTDA, other Funder and SUS standards • Facilitate discharge/transfer process and documentation of same JOB DESCRIPTION • Attend staff meetings, case conferences, group supervision, training, and escort clients on housing interviews as needed • Comply with all SUS Employee Policies, Procedures, and Protocols, SUS Corporate Compliance Policies, and NYS Dept. of Social Services Rules, Regulations, and Statutes • A work schedule that includes some weekend and evening hours is required, • Other duties as assigned III. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is seeking a strategic, business-minded HR Business Partner to partner closely with our Retail Operations leadership team during our next stage of growth. This role serves as the primary People partner for a portfolio of retail markets, helping leaders build high-performing teams while balancing employee experience with operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with deep expertise in employee relations, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employment law. They are equally comfortable coaching senior leaders through difficult decisions, analyzing workforce trends, leading organizational initiatives, and rolling up their sleeves to solve complex employee issues. Success in this role requires someone who can influence without authority, build credibility quickly, navigate ambiguity, and translate business priorities into practical people strategies. This role will be based out of our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office and follow Van Leeuwen's Hybrid work model, being in the office three days a week. Job Responsibilities Strategic Business Partnership • Serve as the trusted People partner to Regional Directors, GMs, and cross-functional leaders., • Influence business decisions through a people lens, balancing employee experience, operational performance, legal compliance, and financial outcomes., • Coach leaders on organizational design, change management, succession planning, workforce planning, and leadership effectiveness., • Use workforce data and business insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, recommending proactive solutions. Leadership Coaching & Organizational Effectiveness • Coach leaders through performance management, difficult conversations, talent decisions, and organizational challenges., • Develop leadership capability by providing guidance on feedback, accountability, communication, and team effectiveness., • Partner with Learning & Development to identify capability gaps and leadership development opportunities., • Support succession planning and talent reviews across assigned business groups. Employee Relations & Risk Management • Lead complex employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and sensitive workplace issues., • Ensure consistent application of company policies while exercising sound business judgment., • Monitor emerging employment law changes and ensure operational compliance across multiple states., • Advise leaders on Workers' Compensation cases, medical accommodations, leaves of absence, disciplinary actions, and separations. Talent & Performance • Partner with leaders to drive the annual performance management process, calibration discussions, and development planning., • Support talent planning initiatives including promotions, internal mobility, retention strategies, and high-potential development., • Identify turnover trends and partner with operations to improve retention and engagement. Job Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred., • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner experience supporting multi-site operations., • Experience partnering with senior operational leaders in retail, hospitality, restaurant, or other multi-unit environments strongly preferred., • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states., • Demonstrated experience leading complex employee relations investigations and coaching leaders through sensitive issues., • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational drivers and influence business outcomes., • Experience with organizational design, workforce planning, change management, and talent management., • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills., • Ability to analyze workforce metrics and translate insights into actionable recommendations., • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing priorities., • Willingness to travel to assigned markets (approximately 15–20%)., • Must be comfortable working in-store scoop shifts once a quarter, while adhering to DOH guidelines. JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objective East Side House (ESH) provides high-quality, year-round programming in NYCHA community centers and public schools, serving youth and families through education, workforce readiness, recreation, and community engagement. Reporting to the Senior and/or Department Director, the Program Director oversees the development, implementation, and supervision of Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division. This includes daily operations, staff management, compliance, and creating safe, inclusive, and responsive environments that promote positive outcomes. As a member of the Early Childhood Education & Elementary Division, the Program Director is expected to lead dynamic, age-appropriate programming for Elementary age participants and community members. This role includes direct supervision of the Assistant Program Director, Group Leaders, Activity Specialist, and other frontline staff. It requires regular collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, IT, and other East Side House departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Senior Director and /or Department Director, the Program Director will: • Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of youth and adult programs, including evenings, weekends, and summer., • Recruit, hire, schedule, onboard, and supervise full-time and part-time staff., • Monitor performance and ensure compliance with DYCD goals, quality standards, and contractual requirements., • Conduct staff evaluations, provide ongoing coaching, and lead monthly professional development and team meetings., • Oversee the design and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate programming focused on academics, recreation, workforce readiness, and cultural enrichment., • Ensure compliance with DOH School-Aged Child Care and Summer Day regulations, including quarterly inspections., • Train staff on safety protocols and ensure emergency preparedness., • Track attendance and maintain accurate records using DYCD Connect and internal systems., • Manage CACFP Food Program compliance and documentation., • Serve as the main point of contact for NYCHA, DYCD, schools, families, and community partners., • Build relationships with residents, tenant associations, youth councils, and community stakeholders., • Conduct quarterly community assessments and incorporate participant feedback into program planning., • Plan and execute four community events and a series of family workshops annually., • Cultivate at least three new partnerships each year to expand program offerings., • Manage the program budget, process purchase orders, and submit reports on time., • Represent the program in required meetings and maintain regular communication with NYCHA and DYCD., • Collaborate with ESH colleagues to coordinate events, share best practices, and support agency-wide initiatives., • Perform other duties as assigned.
