Duties • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times, • Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and learning outcomes, • Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized environment and encouraging positive behavior, • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences, • Help with basic caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed, • Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly, • Support staff in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR procedures Skills • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings, • Knowledge of child development principles and age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, • Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), including pediatric first aid preferred, • Strong classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment, • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members, • Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus, • Demonstrated ability to handle behavior management techniques with patience and professionalism, • Experience in caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying is beneficial, • Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention, • Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young learners Join us in shaping bright futures! The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, demonstrates patience and compassion, and is committed to supporting their social, emotional, and developmental needs. Key Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities, routines, and transitions. Supervise children closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Help children with age-appropriate activities, learning experiences, play, meals, snacks, and rest periods. Support positive behavior and encourage sharing, cooperation, kindness, and respect. Assist with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and other age-appropriate personal care needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Prepare and organize classroom materials, toys, and activities. Assist with indoor and outdoor play and educational activities. Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, parents, teachers, and staff. Follow daycare policies, health and safety procedures, and established routines. Observe and report children's needs, behaviors, or concerns to the lead teacher or director. Help with classroom cleaning and sanitizing throughout the day. Perform other duties as assigned by the daycare director or lead teacher. Qualifications Previous experience working with children is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be physically able to safely interact with young children, including bending, lifting, sitting on the floor, and participating in activities. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Must be willing to comply with applicable childcare licensing, background-check, and health/safety requirements.
