We are located in LIC and seek a friendly, highly motivated, organized, pro-active, creative and self-disciplined individual junior architect with 2- 5 years of practical experience. The required qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in high-end residential design and construction
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent
  • Proficiency in residential construction documents
  • Familiarity with NYS and NYC Building Codes and Building Practices
  • Experience with the coordination of consultants including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Structural engineers as well as lighting designers and other consultants
  • Strong experience with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Suite including Photoshop, In-design and other computer application literacy
  • Oral and written command of the English Language
  • Multi-tasking/time management skills: the ability to work on several projects at the same time in either a management or production role

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute projects through all phases of design
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with design and technical leadership
  • Produce high quality drawings in conformance with project time, scope and quality parameters.
  • Effectively document designs through Construction Documents, Construction Administration, and final punch list.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  Ability to successfully manage various project types including facade & roofing and FISP projects  Execute and/or assist on multiple projects in all project phases, including Investigation, Budget Estimating, Contract Document Preparation, Bidding, Analysis and Negotiation, Municipal Filing, Construction Administration, and Close-out within project budget  Manage projects of medium to large scale scope and work under direct supervision.
