Job Description Duration: 12 Months Job Description Responsible for retrieving, moving, loading, unloading, and organizing boxes and books in a warehouse environment while following established procedures and safety guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities • Lift and move boxes and books from shelving and trays to pallets or carts., • Move pallets and carts from staging areas to shelving., • Push and pull carts weighing up to 500 lbs., • Load and unload trucks using carts or pallets., • Stack boxes on pallets and properly wrap completed pallets., • Move pallets using manual pallet jacks., • Climb and stand on 6-foot scaffolding to load upper shelves., • Log and record cart sequences accurately., • Handle delicate materials carefully as instructed. Required Skills and Qualifications • Ability to read and speak English., • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs., • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours daily., • Ability to bend, squat, and climb ladders or scaffolding., • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Strong attention to detail when handling and organizing materials. Preferred Skills • Experience using order pickers and pallet jacks., • Experience with carts, hand trucks, and pallets., • Knowledge of palletizing and warehouse equipment., • Ability to learn and understand Library of Congress (LOC) classification and sequences. Typical Day • Arrive before 8:00 AM and participate in the morning huddle., • Complete required stretch-and-flex activities., • Receive the day's assignment and report to the assigned work area., • Use an order selector unit to retrieve boxes from designated shelving in sequence., • Handle boxes averaging approximately 35 lbs., with some weighing up to 50 lbs., • Place retrieved boxes onto rolling carts or pallets., • Retrieve approximately 400–600 boxes during an 8-hour shift, depending on floor layout and box type., • Fill approximately 15–25 pallets per shift., • Move and stage completed carts and pallets for transportation., • Remove boxes from pallets or carts at the receiving area and place them onto designated shelves.\nCompany Description 22nd Century Technologies, Inc.
