Job Description Operator I – 2nd Shift Location: Westfield, IN – Onsite Pay Rate: $21.62–$23.16/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM Contract Duration: Through 08/30/2027 Job Type: Contract, Non-Exempt Job Summary: We are seeking an Operator I to support the production of high-quality medical devices in a manufacturing environment. This position may perform assembly, repair, and testing operations involving pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to follow written and verbal procedures, comfortable working with small components, and committed to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Perform assembly, repair, and testing of medical device components and assemblies., • Follow standardized procedures, work instructions, and verbal directions., • Maintain accurate production, traveler, and quality documentation., • Ensure all parts are properly identified and traceable., • Identify and document quality issues according to established procedures., • Use electronic data collection systems and computer software., • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives., • Support Lean Manufacturing activities and production goals., • Follow Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements., • Communicate production problems, ideas, and solutions clearly to manufacturing management., • Prioritize work based on production requirements and deadlines., • Handle and maneuver small components and parts., • Make sound decisions and judgments with minimal supervision., • Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with coworkers, management, and visitors. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent required., • Manufacturing, production, assembly, or medical device experience is preferred., • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures., • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions., • Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic production systems., • Strong attention to detail., • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small components., • Ability to prioritize work effectively., • Ability to make critical decisions with minimal supervision., • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing is a plus., • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Medical Device Manufacturing Environment This position requires working in a controlled medical device production environment. Candidates must be willing and able to follow strict gowning, hygiene, safety, and dress requirements. Production Area Dress Requirements • Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required., • Shoes cannot have heels higher than 2 inches., • Socks or stockings are required., • No sandals, clogs, slippers, open-toe, or open-heel shoes., • Clothing must be clean and non-shedding., • No frayed hems, loose threads, tassels, fringe, glitter, sequins, fleece, loose-knit, or loose-fiber garments., • Clothing must fit properly underneath required lab coats/gowns., • No sleeveless tops, short shirts, or clothing that leaves the torso exposed., • Loose-fitting clothing is not permitted around machinery., • Hats, caps, scarves, and bandanas cannot be worn under the bouffant unless specifically permitted under the facility's approved requirements., • Nail polish, acrylic nails, artificial nails, and similar nail coatings are not permitted., • Jewelry or body piercings that could damage gloves or cannot be covered are not permitted., • Makeup is not permitted in the production area., • Scented personal products are not permitted, except deodorant., • Any open or bleeding wound must be properly covered., • Employees must follow all facility gowning and contamination-control procedures.
