HR Manager Newport| £35,000 - £40,000 We are currently working with a successful and growing multi-site service business based in Newport to help them find an experienced HR Manager. The role This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused HR professional with a strong grounding in employee relations, HR compliance and policy, who enjoys working in a varied and hands-on environment. As HR Manager, you will provide HR support across the organisation, working closely with managers and employees across multiple sites. There will be some travel to other locations, so the role would suit someone who enjoys being visible and building strong relationships across a geographically dispersed workforce. You will play an important role in developing the employee experience, strengthening HR processes and supporting the business as it continues to grow. Responsibilities Providing expert guidance and support to managers and employees on a range of HR matters Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters Supporting managers with conflict resolution and providing practical, commercially focused HR advice Leading the development, implementation and ongoing review of HR policies and procedures Ensuring employee records are accurate, compliant and appropriately maintained Developing and delivering employee engagement initiatives Monitoring and analysing HR metrics and providing meaningful reports and insights to support decision-making Supporting the development and implementation of the wider HR strategy Keeping up to date with changes in employment legislation and ensuring the business remains compliant Building strong relationships with managers and employees across multiple locations Supporting wider HR projects and initiatives as the business continues to develop The person We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident working across a broad range of HR activity and is comfortable operating at both a strategic and hands-on level. You will ideally have: A minimum of 3 years' HR experience, including experience at HR management level Experience working within an organisation of 50+ employees CIPD Level 5 or Level 7, or currently working towards this Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and a commitment to keeping up to date with regulatory changes Strong employee relations experience and the confidence to deal with complex and sensitive situations Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred due to the multi-site nature of the role Salary & benefits £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, plus: 28 days' holiday including bank holidays Free on-site parking Free storage unit for you or your family Employee recognition programmes £250 employee referral reward A strong focus on work-life balance Location: Newport with some travel to other sites. Demolition Contracts Manager South Wales & South West Permanent Salary + Benefits Package The successful candidate will oversee the smooth running of the Group’s demolition work in South Wales (predominantly) and South-West of England, reporting directly to the Demolition Director. The successful applicant will be highly motivated and practical and have a strong track record of successful delivery within the demolition industry. Key Responsibilities: • To ensure that a “safety first” attitude underpins all demolition operations, • Oversee the successful (safe and profitable) delivery of our demolition work, • Maintain good relations with clients, suppliers and stakeholders, • Ensure all projects are appropriately planned and resourced to ensure safe and timely delivery, • Work with our teams and our supply chain specialists to develop demolition sequence designs and associated temporary works designs, • Ensure that the highest standards of safety and quality at all times, • Assist with ‘work winning’. Requirements Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects as part of a wider team. Ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications. Understanding of and ability to appropriately share build programmes. Experience managing supply chains, direct employees and consultants. Experience proactively liaising with customers and the supply chain. Minimum relevant Level 4 qualification, such as HNC/NVQ4, or equivalent. Appropriate CSCS card. SMSTS certificate.
