Personal Tax Senior\n \n Hinckley Permanent Independent Accountancy Practice The Role\n \n We're working with an established independent accountancy practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join their tax team. \n \n This is a varied, hands-on role managing your own personal tax compliance portfolio, while also supporting Tax Directors with compliance linked to wider tax planning and advisory work. \n \n You'll have plenty of client contact and will be responsible for managing work from the initial information request through to submission and payment notifications. \n Key Responsibilities\n \n\n • Manage a varied personal tax compliance portfolio\n, • Manage the full self-assessment process, including information requests, tax return preparation, HMRC submissions and payment-on-account notifications\n, • Prepare individual, partnership, trust and estate tax returns\n, • Prepare 60-day Capital Gains Tax returns and related correspondence\n, • Manage the P11D process, including preparation and HMRC submissions\n, • Support Tax Directors with compliance linked to tax planning and advisory work\n, • Assist with Trust Registration Service submissions, holdover relief elections and inheritance tax returns\n, • Build and maintain strong client relationships\n, • Act as a key point of contact for day-to-day personal tax queries\n, • Work closely with Tax Directors and wider practice colleagues to coordinate workflow and meet deadlines\n, • Support improvements to processes and procedures\n, • Provide support and guidance to junior team members where required\nAbout You\n \n We're looking for someone with: \n\n • Strong personal tax and self-assessment experience gained within practice\n, • Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently\n, • Good knowledge of HMRC processes and filing requirements\n, • Experience across individual, partnership, trust, estate and CGT compliance\n, • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines\n, • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement\n, • A proactive approach to resolving issues\n, • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills\n, • The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider team\n\n \n Experience supporting, coaching or reviewing junior members of staff would be beneficial. Qualifications\n \n ATT qualified is desirable, although qualified-by-experience candidates with strong relevant practice experience will also be considered.
