World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Project Officer subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract. The department are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:\n\n • Excel Essentials - demonstrable use of lookup and conditional based formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables\n, • Power Query and Power BI report maintenance experience desirable\n, • SAP materials management system.\n, • Primavera 6 planning tool is preferred but not essential.\n, • Certification in Project Management, would be an advantage.\n, • Supporting the Project Manager’s and Project Team’s in the co-ordination, planning and control of projects.\n, • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio.\nRate: £30.00 per hourLocation: Bolton Hybrid / Remote working: Hybrid role of 3 days per week onsiteContract: 37 Hours per weekOvertime: Hours worked over 37 hours per week will be calculated at ‘time and a quarter’Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter)IR35 status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella) Project Officer Job Description:This role will require you to work with the Manufacturing project teams in delivering missiles and test equipment throughout their product life-cycles and in accordance with established project control methodologies. The role of Project Officer provides support to a range of deliverables across multiple Manufacturing task areas and can provide a stepping stone for further progress within a project management environment. The Project Officer support the Heads of Manufacturing and Production Project Managers across multiple projects and sites as required, providing delivery of the following:\n\n, • Maintenance and regular reporting of project Key Performance Indicators.\n, • Act as an interface within Manufacturing to help ensure programme delivery, quality and cost.\n, • Provide, understand and present information at internal reviews and meetings.\n, • Assist the team with Risk and Opportunity management.\n, • Assist in the compilation of Manufacturing estimates and Cost at Completions.\n, • Assist in the compilation and analysis of workload forecast.\n, • Compilation and maintenance of project programmes and schedules.\n, • Maintain and improve the interface with internal customers and external departments.\nRole requirements (skills, training and qualifications):\n\n, • Enthusiastic, pro-active and tenacious individual who can prioritise as well as manage day-to-day tactical decisions.\n, • A clear, strong and effective communicator.\n, • Numerate and confident with basic mathematics\n, • Knowledgeable and experienced in the basic application of Project Management skills at an assistant level.\n, • Computer literacy - basic but proven skills required in MS Word, spread sheets, presentations and planning tools. Experience with SAP materials management system / alternative Materials Management system\nPrimavera 6 planning tool is preferred but not essential. Other PM tools would be acceptable \n\n, • Local, job specific training will be provided as appropriate.\n
