Home to work that matters, and you can be a part of it.Job SummaryTo provide engineering support at all stages of the development process, from initial viability advice to full design packages, gaining technical consents and providing advice to all other departments and selected contractors during construction. Undertake engineering design directly or assess and appraise consultant’s designs for suitability and to ensure the designs are the most cost effective, compliant with legislation and practical. Commission and manage consultants, for civil and structural designs, ensuring all information is available and competent for use in tendering, production and in the procurement of technical consents. Liaising with NHBC to ensure all appropriate standards pre-construction have been met, and throughout the project ensuring all conditional items are concluded satisfactorily. Primary ResponsibilitiesPreparation of viabilities Have the ability to interpret geo-technical reports and make recommendations. Be capable of preparing initial site designs and constraints plans at an early stage. Demonstrate an understanding of the process for procuring new utility proposals. Fully understand the CDM regulations and demonstrate a working knowledge. Resolve engineering issues as part of planning application Continue to develop site designs and provide full engineering support throughout the planning and building warrant process. Manage consultants in road, sewer, levels, cut and fill designs, to satisfy planning whilst maintaining the most competitive and practical solution. Co-ordinate and manage external consultants to resolve any engineering issues. Co-ordinate and manage statutory bodies such as Highway Authorities, Environment Agency etc to resolve any engineering issues. Work with the project team to add value and secure the best planning consent and engineering solution for the company. Ensure compliance with building regulations and NHBC standards. Ensure engineering design is compliant with necessary standards. Manage consultants in the preparation of foundations and other engineering matters as necessary. Monitor and resolve any CML issues during the construction phase to ensure timely completion of plots. Ensure all information is available for concept meeting / pre tender / pre start / site start Ensure all engineering drawings and details are available and checked, in advance of start on site including foundations, sub- structure, highways, sewerage, utilities and any remediation proposals. Procure technical approval for highways / sewerage/ land drainage Procure and manage utilities i.e. existing and proposed – at all key stages. Input into LEADR/ Site Specific Environmental Action Plans / CDM / Health and Safety / Environmental issues. Prepare and supply tender documentation for specialist designs such as piled foundations / grouting /ground improvement. Experience, Qualifications, Technical RequirementsExtensive experience of engineering issues gained within housebuilding industry e.g. roads and sewers, foundations, land drainage, utilities, etc. IT/Computer literate Engineering related qualification, degree or equivalent. A degree or higher education course which ideally is accredited by the Institution for Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Institute of Chartered Engineers (ICE). Part of a successful engineering team. Futures are looking to appoint a motivated Production Supervisor to join our clients manufacturing team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of a designated production area. As a Production Supervisor, you will lead by example, overseeing day-to-day production activities while motivating and developing your team to achieve operational targets. Working closely with the Production Manager and other departments, you will ensure production plans are delivered on time, quality standards are maintained, and continuous improvement remains at the heart of everything you do. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate a team of production operatives, creating a positive, engaged, and high-performing working environment. Ensure daily production plans are achieved by effectively allocating resources, monitoring performance, and responding quickly to operational challenges. Maintain a safe working environment by promoting health and safety best practices, ensuring compliance with company policies, PPE requirements, and all relevant legislation. Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring all products meet company and customer specifications while addressing any non-conformances promptly. Work collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, Warehouse, and Planning teams to ensure the smooth flow of production. Maintain accurate production records and reports using company systems and Microsoft Office applications. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Team Leader, Shift Supervisor, or similar leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding of production processes, operational planning, and manufacturing best practices. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams to achieve challenging performance targets. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively at all levels.
