World Class Defence Organisation is currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Inspector subcontractor on an initial 12 month contract in the Greater Manchester.The role will be Full Time OnsiteContract Duration: 12 months initially and then ongoing.Overtime Rate: Hours worked over the standard 37 hours per weekResponsibilities:\n\n • Certify the product in line with the product certification procedure\n, • Examining for correct assembly\n, • Examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.\n, • Inspect for physical damage\n, • Intermediate inspection checks non product certification\n, • Monitor product certification operators\n, • Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack\n, • Control defect items via segregation from good product\n, • Raise and maintain relevant data records/defect reports\n, • Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets\n, • Care for and use specialised inspection tools\n, • Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits\n, • Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process\n, • Ensure inspection times are met\n, • Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks\n, • Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and product quality\n, • Maintain a safe working environment\n, • Maintain a good housekeeping policy\n, • Willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement.\nSkillset/experience required:\n\n, • Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21or HNC\n, • Several years’ experience as a skilled person\n, • IPC 610 certified / trained preferred.\n
