As a Governance and Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of key systems and processes that underpin quality, safety, and regulatory excellence across the hospital.This is a pivotal role where you’ll not only coordinate activity, but actively drive compliance, hold teams to account, and influence continuous improvement.What you will be doing:You’ll lead on governance and compliance activity across the hospital, ensuring standards are consistently met, risks are managed, and improvements are embedded.Compliance LeadershipLead and coordinate internal compliance inspections, ensuring readiness and accountability across servicesOversee CQUIN delivery, tracking performance, challenging progress, and ensuring reporting requirements are metTake ownership of CQC preparation, submissions, and post-inspection action plans, driving timely completionMonitor appraisal and supervision compliance, escalating gaps and holding managers accountableGovernance ManagementOwn the Clinical Governance framework, leading the coordination and effectiveness of monthly meetingsEnsure high-quality reporting is produced, reviewed, and acted upon across Quality, KPIs, Complaints, and workforce metricsPresent governance insights, highlighting risks, trends, and areas for improvementEnsure actions from governance forums are followed through and deliveredReporting & Regulatory AssuranceTake responsibility for the accuracy and timely submission of CQC notifications and NHS England reportsOversee incident reporting processes, ensuring Serious Incidents and safeguarding alerts are managed appropriately and escalated where requiredAct as a key link between internal teams and external stakeholders in relation to governance reportingQuality & Continuous ImprovementLead on the use of dashboards and data to monitor performance, identify risks, and drive improvementsProvide guidance and challenge to teams on quality metrics and performance standardsOversee Ward Quality Accounts, ensuring compliance and high-quality submissionsManage Quality Network Reviews, coordinating preparation, self-assessment, and follow-up actionsSupport clinical leaders in audit programmes, ensuring delivery, quality, and timelinessCarry out audits and spot checks to provide assurance and insightPolicies & FrameworksTake ownership of the policy management process, ensuring reviews are planned, completed, and compliantMaintain oversight of the policy register and ensure governance frameworks remain robust and up to dateWhat you will bring:Experience in a governance, compliance, or quality role within healthcareStrong leadership skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and hold others to accountConfidence in interpreting and presenting data to drive decisionsExcellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesA proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and high standardsWhat You’ll Get At Elysium Healthcare, we believe in taking care of the people who care for others, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, growth, and future: Competitive salaryThe equivalent of 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) – plus your birthday off and the option to buy additional annual leave, in our annual selection window.
